Had a problem with the tv set up but the young lad at the front desk came right away and guided us through the process efficiently. Room was renovated and good space. Even had a table and two chairs. There’s no phone, you have to use your cell. We left early around 7:30 am and no place to deposit room key so we left it in the room. Lighting in the room was very poor. My family really enjoyed the large landscape of nature at The Ashwood. We brought food in coolers and used the complimentary bbq. Large tables to sit family to eat outside. The fridge in the room was spacious and cold. The pool is ideal for winter but the sauna is great! The fire is nice you can purchase bag of wood for $10\. We brought s’mores. Bring bug spray to more enjoy at night. The nature trail was lovely. We enjoyed the text msg communications. Would stay again for sure. The room was spotless. The owners were very helpful and nice people. Couldn't do enough for us. If we called for something, they were right there! We couldn't get over the size of the property. Many things for kids to do over a few days. Best to go for a couple nights on the weekend with kids because otherwise the slow days during the first of the week, not everything is open. It was clean and well appointed and the management were friendly and helpful. However the only downside was that the wi-fi could not connect and we could not use our phones or tablets. We told management and they gave us alternatives, however, none of them worked. There is a badminton net, hammock and woodland path behind. It was confusing at first, as the restaurant beside it has a sign Permanently Closed and we couldn’t find the office to check in. The person cleaning the rooms also did check in and I’m not sure he understood me. We couldn’t find him to check out. The TV was so high tech we couldn’t figure it out.
