Our lake side cottage is perfect for romantic getaways, small families or friends that really like each other! This 2-bedroom cottage features a queen bed, twin bed, and a full bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. With amenities including an equipped kitchen, AC, heat, Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer, your stay will be stress-free; a hotel like stay in comfort with the feel and privacy of being in a home. Relax in this quaint, 104-year-old lake side cabin after a day of exploring the area or fishing. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay here at Al's Place! While winter in full swing, we pulled the dock and will put it back in when the bitter cold-water temperatures have subsided. This season is fun to watch the ice form and melt as mother nature provides a variety of temperatures. You can still fish off the rocks on shore, but winter prohibits us from having the dock in the water year-round. We don't believe in a long check out list of things to do and encourage you to book your grand lake side escape today to enjoy some fresh air soon and water side views! We have been adding updates and special touches over the last year of owning Al's Place and are continuing to improve this charming, little, old home with a unique floor plan right on the lake. We very much enjoyed the peace of the water and a nightly fire, which we can’t do at our home. The lake is so large, we felt like we were at the ocean. Pelicans in Ohio!?!?! They were fun to see. Also had a few bald eagle sightings. I let the typewriter get some fresh air and spent some time in writer’s retreat. The cabin was perfect. The host couldn’t have made the experience any better—it was a delightful time! For us it was way better than staying in a motel room like we did the previous year. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. The house was small and cozy but you didn’t feel cramped. Despite the very few “quirks” of a 104 year old house, it was wonderfully updated and comfortable, as well as, nicely decorated and very clean. Bren had the house stocked with everything you would need to keep occupied including books, games, puzzles, etc. The back deck/dock was absolutely perfect and the views were amazing! The weather was perfect for our stay so the house was comfortable the entire time. Bren was an attentive host and left us cookies upon our arrival as well as coffee and creamer for us to enjoy. She even left a “cookie” for our dachshund, Roxie. We wanted a waterfront spot to be able to relax and reset from our busy life. We were able to do just that. We sat on the back deck next to the fire pit for HOURS just enjoying the view together.The house was an older house but very much clean and tidy. The house was very stocked for many things in the kitchen to use for cooking, this was a plus for us as we decided to cook there and eat with our own waterfront dining.We very much enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be returning. Bren was a great host and was very much available for any and all questions! We honestly didn’t know just how good this place was going to be until we got there.
