The restaurant was reasonably good but a little pricey. The advertisement was a bit deceptive, and that you cannot just walk out to the reef and go snorkeling. The hotel or resort is great, I love the quietness, secluded from the noises. Overall stay was excellent! Love the hotel! The staffs! It was a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly from start to finish, the cabanas were gorgeous, clean and super comfortable. It was very easy to arrange for transportation to and from the airport, as well as to and from the south side of the island across the split. We loved eating at Korner Stop right across from the entrance of El Ben — delicious food and sweet staff. HOWEVER... YOU MUST WEAR BUG SPRAY. The no-see-ums were relentless on the island. The hotel resides on the north side of caye caulker which is a nice break from the busy south side. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was beyond excellent. They provided complimentary transportation to the south side and locations in the nearby area. They arranged a taxi for us to be picked up at the airport and transport us to the water taxi. Justin and Freddy were the best. Alyssa (sp?) greeted me with a cool fruit drink upon arrival and it set the tone for the rest of the stay. The property is beautiful, clean and bug-free (except for mosquitos once you get away from the grounds). The best part of the stay was the staff. It feels like family (and some of them are).
