STAFF I want to start by pointing out that the staff at the hotel were above and beyond PHENOMENAL, and I mean ALL THE STAFF. I spent the weekend up there and got stuck with some car problems in a blizzard and dealt with everybody on the staff there. They were some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with in the hospitality industry. When I say all the staff, I mean all the staff! DAY 1. The plow guy helped me get my car out of a spot when my snow chain broke and I couldn’t move. DAY 2 The maintenance guy got me down to the front desk when my car broke down, then the manager got me a new room right away and gave me a ride to where I needed to go. DAY 3 The other manager called her brother-in-law to come tow and fix my car when the other shops in town were full on a Monday morning. The other front desk staff were great at letting me stay in my room until the car was finished. The cleaning crew who are the hardest working people in the industry were checking to see if my car was ok and if I needed anything. ROOM, I stayed in a two-bedroom condo that had a fireplace, full kitchen, huge living room and everything was spotless. The place was beautiful and fit 8 people. The only thing I would say is that if there is a big blizzard coming make sure you’re prepared with chains or snow tires if you are at the top of the hill because it could be a little challenging to get there with a ton of snow.

The heated pool and hot tub are great. The kids were nervous about swimming outside in the cold winter until they got in the pool. Then they didn't want to leave.

Wonderful piece of history and architecture. We had skied all day. It was so nice to come back to this warm and welcoming property. We were given a tour and history of the house which was so interesting. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was the original servant quarters, very large furnished room, jacuzzi tub, comfortable bed. Very quiet. Would return.

The pots and pan suck, the upstairs lights didn’t work and the bathroom with twin beds were clogged and unusable. Staff was ok but the dining food was excellent. My spa massage could’ve been better. The staff at the spa could of been more helpful. I felt like my kind wasn’t welcome in the town.

Its character and design I enjoyed Lighting was poor especially in the room and the TV was old and small and should have been mounted over the fireplace so you could see it. The spa was enjoyable Breakfast choice was good but very limited. The dining experience was excellent

First night we couldn’t get the heat on. It has a radiator for heating. The maintenance guy came and he couldn’t get it to work either. We asked for extra blankets and two thin blankets was provided. Eventually the heat came on in middle of the night. It is not eco friendly due to the fact that the hotel is so old. So, you can’t regulate the temperature.

Check in and check out were very smooth and staff were friendly. Room was beautiful and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and utilized the shared library space which are both beautiful. The castle is an easy drive to Okemo and into Ludlow.

Time stands still...
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and my birthday at the castle. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and happy. They recommended great restaurants in town and were always accommodating. If you want a quiet retreat that is a throw back to another time, I would highly recommend staying at the castle.

The grounds are beautifully kept, and all of the staff onsite were so helpful and accommodated all of our needs that arose. The staff shared hiking trails as well as local eateries that we will make sure to visit again when we come back.

Romantic Weekend Getaway
Our stay was really nice! We had to park up the ramp out of the main parking lot right next to the castle. Our room was rich with character, comfort and coziness. We dined at the restaurant on site in the castle, and it was delicious with great service. We were able to book the heated pool and hot tub for a relaxing soak after a day on the slopes. I was Pleasantly surprised by their complimentary in-room or to-go breakfast. Overall, a wonderful stay!

This was a gift for an employee and they said the reservation wasn’t paid for. Come to find out , their sister property handles the Expedia reservations. It was a mess and they wanted to leave before the second night. Very disappointed.
