Fine hotel well located for transport (train, bus)
I selected this hotel because of its proximity to transport, and I would happily return there. The quality for the price is great. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful; Marianne was of constant assistance during my first days and all of the stall, reception and domestic, ensured a most enjoyable week. The hotel retains the graciousness and spaciousness of an earlier age, and does so without pretension. My room was large and comfortable; the bathroom had been tastefully modernized. The breakfast room and common social areas were colourful and inviting. The buffet breakfast offered a selection which would cope with most tastes. The location-the positives: My program was to explore the east coast from Messina to Syracuse by train and bus; the hotel is a 10 min walk from the stations. The Duomo and other highlights of Catania are a 15-20 walk. The location-the negatives: The neighbourhood is very run down, even shabby; there are signs that development is planned but I saw no evidence of it happening. Hotel La Ville seems very out of place in the midst of its surroundings. There is almost no commerce in the area, although there is a fine seafood restaurant 5 min from the hotel. For the young and adventuresome and even for the old and adventuresome (- I include myself) the location could be seen as a positive, an opportunity to experience an off-the-tourist-sites Catania.

Un dimanche a Catane
Le petit dejeuner est correct sans plus, le personnel est aimable et la batisse est une vieille maison sicilienne dans un quartier triste mais calme près du terminal de bus et de la gare ce qui est un avantage pour un départ tôt le matin. La chambre était d'un confort correct

Très pratique
A 400m de la gare (et à 100m de la gare routière), dans un quartier relativement improbable (prostituées la nuit !), mais très pratique. Hôtel sans prétention, mais qui se révèle être un très bon plan entre deux destinations. Le centre est à 500m à pied.. J'y suis resté deux nuits, le temps de passer une journée à Taormina et ses environs, et pour faire une excursion du côté de l'Etna... Imbattable rapport qualité prix ! Déco vieillotte, mais chambre relativement spacieuse (idem pour la salle de bain), propre, calme et climatisée (indispensable au mois d'août !). Et le lit est confortable. Le WiFi fonctionne par intermittence dans les étages, mais sans problème dans les espaces communs (comme le lobby). J'y retournerai sans hésitation, lors d'une prochaine étape à Catane...

Bon hôtel, situé entre gare ferroviaire et centre ville historique, mais dans un quartier peu agréable. Confort rt prestations cohérentes avec le classement de l'hôtel.

De belles chambres spacieuses et propres dans cet hotel , les monuments à visiter sont à proximités et pour la plage il faut prendre le bus ou faire 4km à pied...pour le personnel de l hôtel agréable mais personne ne parle français juste un peu l anglais...

Ældre hotel i trist bydel med god service.
Vi overnattede en nat på Hotel La Ville på vej til en tidlig afgang i lufthavnen (afstand ca. 20 minutter med taxa). Hotellet er af ældre dato og stand, men det var vores oplevelse at det er i bedring, med ihærdige medarbejdere. Det ligger på den forkerte side af en hovedfærdselsordre i Catania i et mindre pænt kvarter. Værelset var stort og badeværelset var fint, og der var en lille balkon. Et lys i entreen blev ved med at blinke efter at være slukket, og kunne åbenbart ikke repareres, så jeg tog selv pæren ud for at vi kunne sove. Personalet var meget venligt og bestilte taxa til os og sikrede at vi kom godt afsted, så vi følte os i trygge hænder.

This hotel is a huge disappointment. It is located in a part of Catania that I would not feel safe walking in. The hotel itself is run down with very old bedding and furnishings. It is in need of major upgrades inside and out. The photo shared online misrepresents this property. It is nowhere what it shows in the photos. I checked in and checked out 19 minutes later upon seeing the hotel and my room. I was not given any refund and lost money on this rundown, unfair hotel.

An ideal hotel for a quick 48hr visit
Hotel is within walking distance to train Station, major bonus if you are looking to continue your travels. Clean, quiet and safe. Would recommend short stay only. Close to Main Street in Catania where you will find the best bar Ill Cantiniere.

Hotel è a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal centro. A pochi passi dalla stazione ferroviaria e dalla stazione dei pullman. Un buon posto per chi vuole visitare anche Messina, Taormina, Siracusi ecc. Personaledell’albergo gentilissimo e disponibile. Stanza spaziosa, molto pulita. Colazione ottima.

I had no problem with the bad environment (especially in the night) anybody have to pass through to reach the hotel, but the hotel owner(s) should act against the town council.

夜遅くにカターニア駅に着いたので、場所がわかりにくく、また、門限が近いという電話もかかってきて、駅からタクシーを使いました。ホテル自体は快適でスタッフも親切でした。駅よりバスターミナルが近いですね。

Short break to Catania, lovely city worth a visit. Stay at Hotel LA Ville good experience overall, staff friendly, room clean and spacious, breakfast good. Located short walk from the train station and city center. Would stay there again.

Hotel consigliato. Ci riandrei sicuramente.
Hotel tranquillo e silenzioso. Personale cortese e disponibile. La sorpresa più grande è stata la stanza. Avevo prenotato una doppia uso singola: era in realtà un miniappartamento, con cucina abitabile attrezzata (frigo, lavello, fornelli, tavolo e 3 sedie, piatti e posate), un bagno cieco ma spazioso e la camera da letto anch'essa spaziosa, con aria condizionata. La zona sicuramente non bellissima, ma comunque tranquilla e sicura, anche di notte. L'hotel è poco più di 5' a piedi dalla stazione centrale (anche dalla fermata del pullman da/per l'aeroporto) e a pochi metri di distanza dalla stazione dei pullman. A 20-25' a piedi dalla piazza del Duomo e a 10-15' a piedi dal centro (via Etnea). Catania mi è piaciuta ed è punto ideale per muoversi, con treno o pullman, per gite anche di un giorno a Taormina, Siracusa, o fare un'escursione sull'Etna.

Hotel situato vicino alla stazione e non lontano dal centro quindi posizione comoda anche se la zona circostante non è delle migliori. Parcheggio gratuito o a pagamento in base a dove si posteggia nelle zone limitrofe. Colazione a buffet buona. Cortesia alla reception che non da un servizio continuo per cui si ricevono le chiavi dell'ingresso per gestire autonomamente il proprio soggiorno. Spazio e pulizia nelle camere e nei bagni. Ambienti ben insonorizzati. Ci ritornerò!

長期滞在型のホテルで、ベッドルームも広くキッチンのついたダイニングルームにはソファーベッドもあり、鍋や食器も揃っていて、バスタブもあって、値段の割にはお得なホテルだと思いました。フロントのスタッフは皆、親切で感じが良かったです。朝出かける時に洗面所の電球が一個切れていたので、取り替えてくれるよう頼んでおいたら、帰った時はちゃんと取り換えてあったし、質問にも親切に答えてくれました。
