In the winter months, you are only 20 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. All those wonderful trails on the National Forest system are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 6 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience! Getting Around: Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of a public transportation stop, you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. A ten-minute walk will take you to the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Stag Dr-Lakeside or the stop at Hwy 28 at Agate Rd. From here you are just a 6-minute bus ride to Kings Beach or a 13-minute bus ride to Tahoe City.
