The Neighborhood:
Should you travel inland from California's scenic Highway One on  Carmel Valley Road, you will arrive at the charming, provincial Carmel Valley Village. The sun always shines here, and Carmel Valley Village is home to a handful of excellent bistro-style restaurants that offer outdoor dining. A dozen or so local winery tasting rooms are clustered here within walking distance of each other. Garland Ranch Regional Park offers dozens of miles of dog friendly hiking and equestrian trails.

Only twelve miles away, the village of Carmel-by-the-Sea charms visitors with forested streets and the old English inspired architecture of Hugh Comstock that looks as if it would be at home in the pages of a Fairy Tale. Carmel City Beach is famous for its beautiful white-sand, dog-friendly beach and surfing. Beautiful gardens, perfect kitchen for a family that cooks, bedrooms good size and nice functional bathrooms. High grade appliances and all utensils and dishes were in like new condition. As a family we have stayed in many nice homes, this is on our top favorites list!

A Quiet Haven
We booked 3 nights here. We appreciated having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so no one had to share. The “chef’s kitchen” included everything we needed to fix and serve meals. We were often outside relaxing on the patio surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our only difficulty was negotiating the stairs from the parking area to the front door with our luggage and groceries.

Awesome house and great view!
Perfect property for exploring Carmel Valley Village, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, and Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards. The house makes great use of the space and is very open. Tremendous back patio setup that is kid friendly - the whole house is kid friendly for that matter. Big kitchen, seating for 8 at kitchen table. Host provided a high chair and pack n’ play, which made it easy for our 2 year old. Would absolutely stay there again if visiting the area. Couldn’t recommend more. Fun outdoor fire pit for fire-side chats and roasting smores.

Beautiful surroundings
This home is an open concept with a bathroom for each room and a gorgeous backyard space. The home is very well stocked with everything you need. We loved hanging out each evening playing board games after our daytime adventures in Carmel and Monterey. I would easy stay here again.

The property was awesome but not in a convenient location…it is a bit far from things.
Thank goodness for the property management company who was on-top of communicating. The “host/Marco” never answered my email or phone message. Huge waste of exorbitant fee! However, the property was lovely, clean and well stocked! The neighborhood is quiet and somewhat secluded. For us it was a bit too far away from the center of town. The home itself is awesome! The backyard, with fire pit, was great for evenings.

Special house in a special place
Lovely accommodations, well appointed with private space for all. Plenty of room to stretch out with beautiful gardens within steps of the house allowing everyone to stay connected. The kitchen is well stocked, and put to good use with a trip to Jerome's market (5min drive). The house is cozy and comfortable, although the master needs a new (or better quality) mattress. I found it less support, and uncomfortable after a couple of nights (compared to luxury hotels I have stayed). Short term challenge, renovations directly next door occasionally interrupt the usual tranquility and start as early as 7:30am on weekdays.
