We spent three nights here and I can honestly say that this is the best equipped and furnished VRBO that we've had the pleasure of renting. 3 BRs with their own baths on the top level, one BR with bath and living room on the lower level. Many upgrades and appliances and laundry, pool table and ping pong table, more thsn enough to do in the area. If you want to visit Carmel in style, be able to go to and from Big Sur in an afternoon, this should be on your Monterey list! ##### Wendell L. Great views of the valley below from the decks. We had a wonderful time with family seeing Big Sur and Monterey. We could gather around the dining table or living room to visit and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and coffee. Beautifully landscaped around the house with outdoor seating by the fire pit. House was bright and clean and kitchen was well equipped with equipment and utensils. Dining room was great. Check-in was easy and staff responded quickly to special request. 4th bedroom downstairs is not accessible within the house and not quite same quality level as rest of the house. We loved our time at the house. It was beautiful. The kitchen had a nice assortment of appliances. We were all over 50 and we rented all 4 rooms. The bedrooms, kitchen, family room, decks and fire pit were all great. The house is also within a mile of Carmel by the Sea, making it a very short drive or nice walk away from us. The only issue that maybe could be addressed for future guests is the lack of water pressure. I’m not sure if it’s a California thing, but none of the showers had good water pressure for the whole weekend. Despite that, we highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here on our next trip to Carmel. ##### Bobby F. Beautiful Views and the pool and ping pong tables were great for entertainment. Well equipped kitchen (except need some better spatulas). Accommodated our family of five and one child very well. The place is very nice, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Fun pool table area. Highly recommend. However, it was advertised as having 4 bedrooms. The house actually had 3 bedrooms with en suite baths) - wonderful. Each bedroom had a queen bed. Our 4th bedroom was downstairs with outside access only - you had to walk down an unlit dirt path to access (these details were never mentioned in the description). It was dangerous to be carrying luggage down and to get to in the dark. Also there was an issue with the heat in this downstairs unit. With phone call communication, these issues were dealt with - but only after one very unpleasant night (of our 3 night stay) for one of our group. After our departure we communicated these issues with the owner and we have yet to hear. A refund of some kind should have been offered for the inconvenience: (1) one of our guests was extremely uncomfortable for one night; (2) we spent time contacting the owner and dealing the maintenance; (3) the description of the facility was inaccurate as we expected all bedrooms to be contained in and accessible from the interior of the house. ##### Martha H. The only drawback was the difficulty for older folks who also need the apartment to access. The driveway is quite steep and the steps down to the apartment are not easy to traverse.
