Owner was kind to let us drop our things off before our checkin time so our personal things were not sitting in the hot car during our tour of the caverns. Kitchen was great with some pantry items. This was a comfortable and clean stay at a good location for touring the caverns. They had a few board games. It felt very staged, almost like a showing for an open house, but not all the practical useful things that make a house truly comfortable were provided. Some things that would make it 5 star: curtains on bedroom windows, but especially for front bedroom (blinds did not block street light), night stands (to lay your phone, etc), bedroom lamps (so you don't have to climb in bed in the dark), extra blankets (thin comforter and sheet on each bed and nothing extra in the house), and an actual couch (two chairs and one piece with two adjoined recliners). The two platform beds in the smaller rooms are very low to the ground. The back yard is huge, but 100% dirt with lots of ants. It really was a good sleep for one night while stopping through Carlsbad. With a few improvements on accoutrements, it would be a perfect stay. ##### Juanici P.
