The information and communication was great with easy check in to the property.The location was really good as it was very near to shops and places of interest but far enough away to avoid noise from bars and traffic. « A really comfortable weekend stay, easy walking distance to Hadrian’s Wall. The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets. »

« I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

« Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. »

« Overall great. Ray and Margaret showed us round the apartment and made sure we knew how everything worked. Very good information pack provided. Access to apartment is via an outside metal fire escape style staircase which was slippery when wet. Bedrooms and bathroom have sky lights only and to see the best view from lounge requires you to stand at the window due to the height. It would be a great addition if if there was decking or balcony to use from the patio doors in the lounge. »
