Located just a bit north of the city, Cardiff on the Sea is a captivating and beautiful community with beaches, shops, and restaurants close to the San Diego Botanic Garden. We wished we had more time to explore the town! We loved being so close to San Diego, yet in a more relaxing environment with a small town feel. The home was comfortable and beautiful. The living area was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. Great shower in the master bathroom. It’s so nice when there are directions for everything and no mysteries as to how to connect to WiFi etc! We loved the outdoor area with bar, lots of seating, a great grill. We ended every evening watching the sunset on the top deck. We were close enough to UCSD to enjoy graduation activities there. Also close enough to Balboa Park and Zoo, about 25 minutes. Well equipt kitchen Our group of 4 felt like we won the lottery with this amazing home with distant views of the ocean from the kitchen window and an expansive view of the ocean from the rooftop patio. We loved the outdoor kitchen and bar for hanging out and remote work. Sunsets on the rooftop were spectacular. We are serious home cooks and the kitchen had literally everything we could possibly need cookware and tool wise. Cardiff was a great spot away from the crowds and traffic of LaJolla with quick access to beautiful Solana Beach and charming seaside destinations from Del Mar to Encinitas. My husband and I stayed for 5 days and also worked a few days from home, even spent a few of those outside on the patio! The house had everything we needed to make all our meals and was the perfect layout for hanging out and relaxing.
