Summary:  
Come escape to the storybook destination of Cape Neddick, Maine, where families can fully immerse themselves in the enchantment of New England’s rugged beauty. From tide pools teeming with sea life to historic landmarks and, of course, epic seafood feasts, you’ll find the perfect blend of relaxation and discovery.  
  
The Space:  
Tucked away in the tall pines, away from the bustling town center, yet just 12 minutes from the beach is where you’ll find Nana’s Hideaway, a charming 2-bedroom retreat all to your own.  
  
As you relax on the home’s spacious deck, you’ll begin to feel all your cares get carried away by the fresh coastal air as you soak in the abundant sunshine and lose yourself in the pages of a good book. Fire up the grill for an authentic barbeque lunch, served tableside at the outdoor dining set with umbrella and seating for 4. The yard offers plenty of space for outdoor games or simply taking a leisurely stroll around the property.  
  
Once you’re off to explore the shore, begin by taking the short drive to the beach to spend full days on the sparkling sand, the home providing chairs, and umbrella, and even boogie boards to maximize your experience. A convenient outdoor shower will help you wash away all that stubborn sand before heading indoors for a much-needed break.  
  
The iconic Cape Neddick Nubble Lighthouse, a short 13-minute drive south, stands proudly atop a rocky outcrop, offering picture-perfect moments to capture the glittering sunrise or sunset. Head further south to check out historic York Harbor and York Corner to discover local treasures in its dining and shopping scene. For the nature lovers, there are a number of hiking trails in the area, including the Mount Agamenticus Trail which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.  
  
The home’s bright and airy interior is a welcome sight for weary travelers, where open spaces invite you to connect with loved ones as you relax and rejuvenate for the next exciting day ahead. The living room offers soft sofa and armchair seating for spending well-earned downtimes watching movies or catching up on casual conversation.  
  
The fully equipped kitchen will have you whipping up delicious homecooked delights in no time, with all-white appliances alongside ample countertop space and cabinetry for preparation and storage of all your snacks and goodies. • The stairs leading to the upper level are steep – guests are asked to use caution and/or consider this prior to booking.  
  
Nana’s Hideaway offers a peaceful retreat with quick access to several beautiful beaches in the Cape Neddick and York area. Cape Neddick Beach is just 3.3 miles away (8-minute drive), perfect for a quieter coastal escape. For more expansive sandy shores, Long Sands Beach is 4.6 miles away (9-minute drive), while Short Sands Beach with its shops, arcade, and oceanfront green space is only 3.6 miles away (8-minute drive). It’s an ideal home base for enjoying the charm of southern Maine’s coast.

Very quaint house with beautiful windows that make it sunny and warm. Very short ride to town, beach and restaurants. Communication with the host was excellent, and always willing to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beware as is stated in their description of the house, that the stairs are very steep to the upstairs bedroom, not a problem for us, but might be for others. We would stay here again.
