The Hotel Macomber is an historic Inn, as are many of the accommodations in Cape May. As such, they have no elevator, and they don't have a bell captain to help with your bags. So getting to your room, that may be on the 3rd floor, can be an issue. The rooms are small and simple without a phone or clock. The bathroom in our room looked like an addition, and it there was no heat. Fine in the summer, but not in December. There is parlor room on the main floor that is furnished with period pieces from the Victorian era, and there is a comfortable porch with rocking chairs. The location is great, just across the street from the ocean. There is an award winning restaurant is on premises, as well as a bagel/coffee shop.
