Everything was clean, the room was spacious, the service was excellent, and the food was awesome. We had a minor issue with the hot water, but the hotel addressed it quickly. Unlike other great resorts nearby, Secrets has huts on the beach, which I personally prefer over umbrellas. The only downside—something the resort cannot control—was the sargassum. We did not expect it in December, but it was present. It wasn’t significant, but it did make the ocean less appealing for swimming. However, if you’re a pool person, the pools are fantastic!
