When we're away, we need a space that feels like a home-away-from-home, where the kids can get some down time, we can make home-made meals, and separate spaces are available for separate needs (nappers, readers, workers, watchers). The RG retreat had it all - it was stocked and ready for us just as our home is, yet had just enough character to feel really special. In addition to it being conveniently located by the RG train station, it's also directly across the street from a large park with a playground, splash pad, and a great field for tossing a frisbee - a definite plus for us all. The yard is beautiful and its own retreat - so much so that we even had a couple deer come join us to lounge in the yard. Thank you Mikel and Veronica for a lovely stay! ##### Fehring F. I was in Colorado working and came upon this place. I am glad I chose to stay here. For the price, you can not beat it. Nice and cozy. Just across the road from an awesome park. Also walking distance to Downtown Cañon City. Overall very nice place and well cared for. One note, for two adults the bunk bed setup was not the most comfortable but it wasn't awful. ##### Anna D. The home was nice and we especially enjoyed the dining room. The yard was beautiful with a nice set up for enjoying the outdoors as well. Great location for heading to dinner or the mountains. I accidentally left my coat behind and the host got right back to me, and I was able to go pick it up. Would definitely book here again. ##### Kaileigh I.
