It was clean and as listed, although the yard could use a little sprucing up and the pull out sofa is not comfortable (not just the mattress but it's not as wide as the sofa itself, so there's a gap where you feel like you might fall into the metal mechanisms). Jun 8, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy The Royal Gorge Retreat was the perfect home for our family! When we're away, we need a space that feels like a home-away-from-home, where the kids can get some down time, we can make home-made meals, and separate spaces are available for separate needs (nappers, readers, workers, watchers). The RG retreat had it all - it was stocked and ready for us just as our home is, yet had just enough character to feel really special. In addition to it being conveniently located by the RG train station, it's also directly across the street from a large park with a playground, splash pad, and a great field for tossing a frisbee - a definite plus for us all. The yard is beautiful and its own retreat - so much so that we even had a couple deer come join us to lounge in the yard. Thank you Mikel and Veronica for a lovely stay! ##### Fehring F.
