This 2,800 sqft property consists of 3 oversized bedrooms and 3 baths, making it ideal for families, couples trips, remote/nomadic workers. Staying at the Regeneration Lodge, you will be surrounded by living plants, antique furniture, and plenty of locally-sourced goods. This hub in Cañon City is the ideal place for those looking for something walkable to everything—Main Street, Veteran's Park, the Royal Gorge Express For summer travelers who care: The house runs on a swamp cooler and window A/C system. We have fans and with windows opened in afternoon/evening the temperature is managed just fine. Swamp coolers are the common standard for energy efficiency/effectiveness of a cooling system in such a deserty area. It is a charming, older home that is in good condition, beautiful hardwood floors and other features true to the home. The boys liked watching football on the large screen tv in the loft. The yard is fenced in and there is a nice deck. It is located 1 block from Main Street where there is shopping and restaurants (indian food restaurant very good). Other electrical issues came up during our stay, but we managed to address the problem with Joe over the phone. You are literally out in the country and can see the train, but at the same time, you are across the street from downtown. Walking distance to many cute shops, bars and restaurants. Quick 20min drive to Royal Gorge park. The outdoor area was in process of getting a landscape upgrade which we could tell was going to be gorgeous. The place was close walking distance to eating areas, shopping and train ride.
