The good: clean, and comfortable. The building is secure and quiet. Inconveniences: 1 outlet for 4 kitchen appliances to share, swapping depending on use. Kitchenette hardly big/equipped enough to call a kitchenette...had a can opener and plates/cutlery. Poor layout of furniture. The bad....the room is smaller than expected, but once we got used to that, was cozy. Washing dishes in the bathroom sink seems very unsanitary. The shower head is on its last legs for adjusting between settings and very low water pressure. The outlet under the window has burn marks and is out of service (like this when we arrived) the one across from the bed won't hold the cord on the top receptacle. The outside maintenance and view was extremely disappointing. The building has no amenities. So how can you rent a room with no real kitchen (barely working microwave does not count) in a building with no kitchen service or hotel amenities. Room was cold, hot water was limited, bed below average, appointments below average. Kleenix box with holes and the list goes on. We stayed one night and then rented a different place for remainder of stay as this was not going to work at all. More clear description is required. Definitely my worst experience in Canmore and the Windtower has gone downhill at a rapid rate.
