Relax in this inviting 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in Belconnen. You can access all the apartment\`s amenities throughout your stay. To get the keys, you can drive 4 minutes from the apartment, approximately 800m away, or take a leisurely 4-minute walk, covering a distance of 250m if you don\`t plan on bringing a car. Please read our listing thoroughly to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). This apartment is located on the 17th level of the building. You will have access to lifts for easier check-in and check-out. BEDROOM: Your bedroom has a queen-sized bed topped with professionally cleaned and pressed linen. Also, the bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space for your luggage. BATHROOM: The bathroom has a shower and toilet. We provide bath towels and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and body wash. Note that the exhaust fan will stay on for extended periods if there is still heat or steam in the bathrooms. It’s on a self-timer and will automatically shut off when deemed necessary. KITCHEN: You can use the kitchen if you\`re craving a home-cooked meal. While you stay you will have access to the following: \- fridge/freezer \- stovetop - to turn on, make sure that the wall switch beside the kitchen sink is turned on \- oven \- microwave \- crockery and cutlery \- dishwasher We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays. LIVING ROOM: The living room has a TV that you can use. There\`s also a Chromecast dongle attached to the TV (Choose HDMI3 in Input to use it). It has access to local channels as well. LAUNDRY AREA: A washer and dryer are available to use, as well as an iron and ironing board. PARKING: The parking garage can fit up to 1 car. There are also options for free and paid street parking. Visitors\` car spaces located directly outside the front doors - are very limited. Free parking in the McDonald’s car park adjacent (at own risk). COMMON AREA: You will have the access to the building\`s pool on the 26th floor throughout your stay. The common areas are managed by the building management and can be closed without prior notice to owners. We try our best to get the most accurate information to update the listing description as much as we can. In this regard, please check for building announcements at the time of your arrival to confirm the availability of common areas. Check-in details will be sent two days before your arrival. Access codes will be provided 4 hours before check-in to keep your booking secure. Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee. Losing the key set or leaving it inside the apartment will incur a minimum of $355 charge. I am available mostly through Airbnb messaging but I give privacy to my guests. If there is an urgent issue, you can always call me. I have been living in Canberra for quite some time now and can help you navigate your way around the local area if you need me. I can also provide you with tips on the best places to go for food or just to have fun! You can walk to public basketball courts, a public skating park, bowling, Westfield Belconnen or go for a jog around the lake. The best cafe in the area is chatterbox which is just a two-minute walk down the road. Ideally, you would drive. There is unlimited parking beside Mcdonald\`s if you have multiple cars. Any violation of our no-party rule will result in a $2000 non-negotiable penalty, in addition to any damages. Please do not flush wet wipes, paper towels, or sanitary products. These cause blockages in the sewer system. Dispose in the bin provided. WIFI: Due to the increased work-from-home and online classes for the general population, the current internet provision in the property may be intermittently slow. It can continuously accommodate sending/receiving emails and basic web browsing however, streaming is not advisable. 1\. Please let us know if you need to check in early or leave later than the standard times. We will charge $110 for each hour of non-scheduled delay to check out after 10 am. 2\. I have a STRICT \`No Pets Policy\` except for service or emotional support animals and \`No Smoking Policy\`. These are applicable inside and outside of the property. Any breach will result in a fine of $400 plus any additional fees for specialised cleaning. 3\. The cleaning fee covers the general cleaning and replacement of quality linen in the property. Please try to leave the place as tidy as possible. If the property is extra messy when you leave, an extra cleaning fee will be charged (minimum of $50). 4\. Please be sure you understand our cancellation policies. You can find our current policy via your booking channel. 5\. Only those persons who made the reservation may stay at our property. If you\`re a business or government agency booking for other people, please contact us in advance to ensure access details are made clear. 6\. No parties or gatherings of more than the maximum number of booked guests are permitted. All non-guests must leave the home by 10:00 pm. No loud noises or music are permitted after 10:00 pm. There is a $2000 penalty for breaching this rule. 7\. Some consumable items have been left for you in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, milk), that you are most welcome to use. Also, the pantry has a few basics - no need to ask, just help yourself. We don\`t stock the refrigerator or provide any meals. 8\. The property is not child-proofed and we don\`t have specific amenities for infants (i.e. high chair, cot). We thought so. It is something to do just once and perhaps best to pick a day which is clear blue skies, little to no wind and no rain. Located at the top of Black Mountain Reserve, the drive itself is lovely even a bit hairy at times. You see, Canberrians are extremely healthy people, they love their bicycles and that’s great. However, on a windy steep road lined with bush on each side, wildlife, flora and fauna and spectacular views, it’s hard to take note of all these things as you are dodging these healthy but crazy cyclists. At the top, there is plenty of parking and the Telstra Tower stands proud. There is an entry fee and a family ticket is just $17. Once you have paid, head through the turnstiles to the lifts which will take you to the enclosed viewing platform some 870 metres above sea level. There you will discover 360o panoramic views over Canberra and beyond. Another quirky edition is the red vintage post box. There is a café and plenty of seating. If you are feeling adventurous, head up the stairs to the 1st outdoor level with the same views but this time no glass blocking the view and there is another level above that. Only recommended when no rain and slight wind. The black colour made the space seem small Curtains need to be double in width to keep the light out. The unit was clean but wipe marks were present on mirror, cupboards and benches.
