Pet Friendly! (Disclosure: We cater to families and laid back vacationers. If you are looking for a party house, we would not be your destination. We want to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for our guests as well as our neighbors). Welcome to Lakeview Lodge! Canandaigua's best kept secret! This spacious rustic log home is tucked away on a private drive and sits on 3 1/2 wooded acres overlooking the beautiful and scenic crystal clear waters of Canandaigua Lake. On the main and second floor this home boasts 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 full baths with 1 half bath, 2 large living areas,, and a spacious newly remodeled kitchen. With an additional queen size sofa bed in one of the living areas that make this a home perfect for a large family. There is also a full second kitchen in the basement along with a pool table room and also a great teen hang out room with IKEA furniture. After a fun day at the lake or taking in one of the many local wineries or breweries enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the beautiful lake views on one of the two furnished covered porches. For cool evenings enjoy sitting on a beautiful flagstone patio with stone fire pit overlooking the lake and enjoy the breeze under the canopy of beautiful 60 foot trees. For your furry four-legged family members their is a fenced side yard that will keep them close to you. As for the kids there is plenty of land to roam with a ravine and seasonal stream to work out all that excess energy. We are on a private drive with only two other houses and minimal traffic. The gourmet kitchen has all of the amenities that you need to cook tasty meals including a commercial size grill for outdoor cooking. If you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of wonderful restaurants and the New York Wine and Culinary School within five minutes of our home. There is lake access to Onanda Park only a few miles away from our home which boasts areas for swimming, fishing, tennis, and hiking with waterfalls. In the winter months after a long day of skiing at Bristol Mountain (only 11 miles away) wind down in the eight person Jacuzzi or sit by a crackling fire in one of the four custom wood burning fireplaces throughout the home, including the kitchen. We are thrilled that you are considering a stay with us at Lakeview Lodge and look forward to spoiling you and making your stay a memorable one! Although we do not have private lake access our house is just a short drive to several areas where there is lake access. One is only 1.2 miles from our front door and the other is 6 miles south of us! We had a weather related issue with frozen pipes. The maintenance team was quick to respond and had the issue resolved in no time. The lodge was spacious and accommodated our group of 8 adults, 2 dogs and an infant easily. It was great to have a fenced yard for the dogs to be let out. We stayed with my mother-in-law (who was celebrating her 90th birthday), my daughter & son-in-law, and my brothers-in-law. There was plenty of room for everyone and a kitchen to fit all of us around the table for meals. The basement is huge and has a game room with a pool table along with a full kitchen and bathroom. It was a perfect place for our family birthday celebration. It was also nice to have a Wegmans close by to provide the buffet brunch. Perhaps the best thing for me was the fenced in yard which our little Zoe enjoyed while I sat on the porch with my coffee every morning. There was a change to the front door entry code but that was quickly resolved during check-in. I would definitely stay here again. ##### Kathy W. The large house accommodated our family of 10 and 2 dogs with no issues! Very spacious - plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen as we cooked nearly all dinners and ate at the long dinner table. The fenced-in side yard was a unique feature which was very handy for our dogs! The hot tub was new and clean and we used it many nights! The fire pit is also huge (12 chairs) and we had at least 4 fires while staying. Thanks for everything!! ##### Greg G. We had a great weeklong family vacation in this beautiful rustic yet modern cabin/home! My husband and I enjoyed the spacious primary suite/bathroom while our son and daughter-in-law stayed in the other king-size bedroom with their 4 kids (9, 7, 5 and almost 3!). Our son and his girlfriend occupied the other 2 double bedrooms. AND we got to bring our 2 dogs as an added bonus. The house was in quick driving distance to some great hikes and wineries, but we ate in every night and used the well-equipped kitchen to prepare some delicious meals. The Lodge is in a great location and central to so many things. There is a lot of space throughout the Lodge. The owner Sherrie is great and can’t be more accommodating.
