The living space is open and inviting. The cabin is ideally situated 15 minutes from hiking, climbing, and recreational attractions. Beautiful décor, custom showers, and a gourmet kitchen are just the beginning. Enjoy a wrap around covered deck with plenty of seating options, a hot tub & floating bed swing. You will not find these amenities anywhere else! Part of Bear Branch Cabins (5 Separate Cabins all located on one property) Inside you\`ll find serenity the moment you open the front door. \`Lazy Squirrel\` is a newly constructed, two-story, loft-style cabin that sleeps 8 comfortably, nestled near Campton Lake in Red River Gorge. This cabin has everything you need for an amazing Red River Gorge getaway and is decorated to make you feel right at home. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal time a breeze and contains standard coffee maker, Keurig and microwave, electric stove, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. You\`ll be sure to enjoy the free WiFi, private hot tub, flat-screen TV and Gas fireplace. The spacious outfoor area includes a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), outdoor fire pit, and 8 person jetted hot tub! First Floor Bedroom includes Queen Bed. 2nd Floor Bedroom includes Queen Bed. Loft includes two Queen Beds. We provide Fresh Linens and towels. We also provide Shampoo, Conditioner, Body soap, Laundry Detergent, Trash Bags, Dish Washing liquid, Hand soaps, 3 Rolls of Toilet Paper and paper towels. We have Local firewood that can be bought. It is located on our property and we can let you know how to buy some if you would like. Please let us know via message. On the wrap around deck, you will find cozy seating areas, a porch swing to melt away your worries, a daybed swing for an afternoon nap and a huge hot tub. There is Parking for Three cars \- THE AREA -- Lazy Squirrel is secluded and away from the chaos, yet close to the greatest area attractions in Red River Gorge. Located just 1 minute from Campton lake where you can enjoy fishing, canoeing or hiking. The famous Nada Tunnel entrance to the Red River Gorge is just 15 minutes away from the property. You don\`t want to miss this! This is where you will find countless hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sight-seeing. For a memorable experience, hike to the famous swinging bridge over the Red River, located upriver from the Jump Rock and Swimming Hole. Natural Bridge State Resort Park features the Natural Bridge, a million-years-old sandstone arch, which is accessible by hiking up and down the huge mountain or by taking a slow and easy ride on the sky lift. For water activities, like fishing, kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddleboarding, make your way to nearby Mill Creek Lake. The location was a little challenging and parking was on a fairly steep gravel slope. Back door was open, letting bugs in when we arrived. Washing machine gasket was extremely moldy and machine smelled. We had been travelling prior to this and needed to do wash. Dryer and dish washer also needed to be cleaned. Kitchen ware needed to be supplemented-we made salad in a pot as no bowl available. Main lights flickered everytime hot water used probably due to light dimmer installation according to engineers in our group. Other minor things but replaced broken coffee pot quickly.House itself was comfortable and bedding good. The cabin was even better than we expected. The kids loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The fire pit area was great for making s’mores.
