When you book our cottage, you automatically have access to the ENTIRE cottage. The Cottage has the main entrance on the lower floor that has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen (it has a hide-a-bed in the living room that can sleep up to 2). Also, to get to the upper living area there is a separate entrance on the second floor. There is a large open area that has one bathroom, a queen bed, a futon, a desk/office area, flat screen tv, and an upper deck with a small table and chairs. Secluded, romantic, and relaxing Cambria guest cottage nestled in the Monterey pines of the esteemed Leimert Estates. This guest house sits on a hill above Moonstone Beach just east of Highway 1, which is just a 1-2 minute drive away. The property is privately surrounded by coast live oak and monterey pines, and yet nearby you will find yourself on the boardwalk of moonstone beach, and combing the sand for shells and moonstones. Wood floors and cozy cabin like Interior will offer all the comforts of home. Large screen TV sits above the mantel over a cozy fireplace, surrounded by leather sleeper sofas. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. The kitchen is equipped with gas range and full stainless steel refrigerator along with granite countertops. There is a covered patio off the back along with a gas grill for you to enjoy the tranquil wildlife that pass by (deer and wild turkey) while listening to the distant waves of the ocean. The comfortable king-size memory foam bed along with premium linens will offer a restful night's sleep. You will find this property to be the best deal in Cambria because of its beauty, and amazing location. It’s off of the beach a little bit, but you can hear the waves in the morning. The cottage is nestled in amongst acres of trees. The first morning while we were having coffee, we saw nine deer walk right by us eating acorns. The property has a private gate to enter, and acres and acres to explore. We actually chose this place after originally having reserved another site, because it advertised KING beds in both rooms which would work perfect for two couples. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out the upstairs, which is very roomy and large, only has a queen bed. There is also no bathtub in bathroom 2 as advertised. Only 12 minutes from Hearst Castle and 5 to downtown Cambria and coastal boardwalk. Directions and check-in/out instructions were clear. Really enjoyed our peaceful stay here. My family had a delightful time staying at this cute little house, a great home base for all the nearby activities. One side note for families traveling with young children; the upstairs is awesome but only accessible externally. It still worked fine for our daughters. The property is gated and safe!
