« Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back »

« It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay! »

« We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. The front of the property had two lovely patio sets however staff had overlooked cleaning them, so we gave them a quick brush off so we could use them. « Excellent experience from the moment we arrived at check in to checking out after two fabulous nights. The staff were fabulous, warm and friendly. They looked after us very well and our two dogs too! Breakfast was fresh, tasty and just what was needed before ascending Pendle Hill! We will definitely be back. « This was my third stay since my first visit in 2014 from Canada. Have never forgotten the beauty of the setting and cozy atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed our ground floor room with the conservatory which gives you direct access to the outdoors. The walk across the field to Hawes is always fun. Great staff, food delicious. »

« Excellent breakfasts, the best scrambled eggs ever! The room was brilliant but ,would benefit from a small fridge. Great parking available. Only tiny negative was that there was no coat hangers in the room. »
