« To be honest, the pictures provided of the cottage dont do it enough justice. Palo Colorado Rd is initially intimidating but as long as you turn your lights on, take it slow and be cautious of other vehicles its a wonderful road to drive through. The cottage is plesantly private and has everything you would want/need. Both trails are well taken care of, felt very safe and at the end of each trail is a place to relax on chairs or a hammock. « The view was beautiful and the space itself is quiet with a nice layout. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, and if you are hoping to see one of those cool (not so) little banana slugs, they are around here. We saw at least a half dozen large ones with even more babies. The location is also perfect, with stores and restaurants nearby, 40 minutes from San Jose airport, 20 minutes from Santa Cruz boardwalk and 5 minutes from Roaring Camp and Henry Cowell state park.
