Wel even thuis op basis van de coördinaten het adres invoeren daar onze vrij recente navigatie de straat niet herkende. Het betreft een riant huis, echt van alle gemakken voorzien en met een heerlijk grote en vlakke tuin en fijn zwembad. In het buitenhuis volop gebruik gemaakt van de BBQ. Omgeving is afgelegen, huurauto is noodzakelijk om ergens te geraken. Maar heerlijk vrij, geen zorgen voor of van overlast. De eigenaar als tips teruggegeven: - Plaats traphekjes op in elk geval het bovenste terras zodat ons zoontje van anderhalf veilig het terras op kan. - Het twijfelaarbed op de eerste verdieping kraakt dusdanig dat er voor een stel niet in te slapen valt. Bij iedere draai wordt je uit je slaap gehaald. Ons zoontje van 6 heeft er lekker geslapen. Verder top! Ook een leuk idee van de eigenaren: laat iets achter voor de volgende bewoners. Dit was bij aankomst ook bij ons het geval (denk o.a. aan een pak macaroni, vaatwastabletten, frisdrank). Zo hebben wij o.a. diepvries vol ijs en een koelkast met lekker en praktische dingen achter gelaten. Na aankomst in het huis was via mail de informatie gegeven over de details van sleutels,WiFi etc. Locatie is redelijk lastig te vinden maar zoek naar de hoge bomen en het huis is makkelijk vindbaar vanaf het dorpje. Aangekomen bleek de keuken en woonkamer alsmede de begane grond prima geschikt om te verblijven. Helaas was het souterrain een ander verhaal. De cv ketel loopt op olie en deze tank is in de garage geplaatst. De geur van olie gaat door de hele verdieping heen. Slaapkamer met twijfelaar is niet te gebruiken door de lucht. In de badkamer beneden zit overal schimmel waardoor ook deze lucht niet weg te krijgen is uit de slaapkamer. Wij hebben bed vanuit de kamer naast garage in de andere kamer geplaatst. De vochtige, schimmelachtige lucht hebben wij proberen te verminderen door huis gehele dag te luchten met garage deur open, dit mocht helaas niet baten. Het zwembad is prima met daarbij opgemerkt dat er diverse gebroken tegels en scherpe randjes zijn, volgens ons is het ook lek daar wij regelmatig een paar liter moesten bijvullen. Verder is de tuin prachtig echter is er door de wind weinig mogelijk in de avond, wij hebben 2 keer buiten gegeten voor de rest binnen. Keuken is bijzonder compleet. Geen muggen wel vliegen en met een aantal kapotte horren is dat soms lastig. Wij hebben de klachten aan belvilla doorgegeven en binnen 24 uur kwam er reactie en is de manager die het huis beheert langsgekomen, op korte termijn kon er niets aangepast worden. Belvilla heeft ons de dag later weer gebeld en een vriendelijk voorstel gemaakt om de klachten wat te verzachten. Al met al een prima vakantie maar huis dient enig onderhoud en aanpassing in de ventilatie te ondergaan. Peniche is dichtbij, supermarkten met de auto bereikbaar, eten in dorp bij poco geweldig voor bijna niets. Dagje Lissabon met hop on hop of was geweldig. Het was even zoeken naar het huis. Contact met de eigenaar verliep alleen per e-mail wij hebben hem niet ontmoet. Van tevoren kregen we per mail een duidelijke uitleg over de vindplaats van de huissleutel e.d. Het huis is ruim en heeft een mooie grote tuin. Wij waren met 4 volwassenen en 4 (grotere) kinderen. Van de 2 slaapkamers die zich beneden bevonden, is er 1 niet echt een noemenswaardige slaapkamer. Er zijn geen ramen aanwezig in deze kamer en het ruitje dat er zit, grenst aan de garage. De garage ruikt erg naar motorolie en dat is beneden ook goed te ruiken. Wij zijn met onze kinderen op 1 slaapkamer gaan liggen, zodat we niet in de dichte slaapkamer hoefden te bivakkeren. In het dorp is verder niks te beleven, wel is er een zeer goed BBQ-restaurant te vinden (PoCo DoZe) goedkoop en erg lekker eten. In de omgeving is het dorp Obidos erg leuk. Dit ligt zo'n 12 kilometer van het huis vandaan. Andere dorpen/stadjes die leuk zijn om te bezoeken, zijn Fatima, Nazare en Peniche. Jammer is dat er geen informatie te vinden is in het huis over waar de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt, bakker, e.d. is. Als we contact zochten met de eigenaar, kregen we per mail heel snel antwoord. Investering in goede matrassen zou niet weg zijn. En ook extra ligstoelen voor bij het zwembad zou handig zijn (we waren met 8 personen, maar er waren slechts 6 ligbedden).
