We had booked our stay (2 nights) several months ago. Communication for our pre arrival was perfect, as we were coming in late in the evening. Keys were ready, easy check in.This place is a truly a little gem. Just perfect if you are looking for a quiet little private place, close by the beach and with lots of good dining options close by. All is in walkable distance. Not to mention the pool area, truly a place of relaxation, with lush tropical greenery/garden all around and well maintained. Peaceful in every sense. Just wish we could have stayed there longer. Heads up to the owners for having created this place.

Fantastic Welcome & Relaxing Spot
Enjoyed 4 Nights in this lovely property in Palm Cove. The property provides 8 Rooms, with a very friendly service / welcome from Nicholas & Sergio. We enjoyed every part of our stay, from excellent communication, modern / refurbished rooms and an lovey pool area. The pool area has a real Balinese ambience and we lived relaxing in the cabanas. The art work from Sergio is also really nice and really adds to the experience. The hotel is based at the Southern end of Palm Cove, with lots of bars, restaurants and beach within 5mins walk. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Love love love this property!
We had the most amazing stay at the palms. The apartment had everything we required to have the most comfortable five days. The owners could not do enough for us and the pool and the surrounds were sensational. We will be back.

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff.
Great team running the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and close to the hub of Palm Cove. Would definitely recommend the Palms - the pics don't do the hotel justice!

Kudos to The Palms!
We checked in later than expected and Bruce was welcoming as ever. We stayed in a two bedroom standard and made use of the equipped kitchen. The grocery is not far, and there is a local market walking distance. Our children (6 and 4) absolutely loved to swim in the shaded pool in the mornings and late afternoon. All the units have access to the pool right at their doorstep. The owners keep the grounds manicured. The owners really pay attention to detail. That goes right into the rooms. The rooms smelled fresh without smelling of cleaner. The beds were comfortable, and there was no lack of seating indoors or outdoors. There was a BBQ grill as well but we did not make use of it. We were able to book a Green Island tour departing Cairns with free pick-up next door which was a bonus. We ended up extending our stay because we were treated so well and the property was so beautiful. Take Bruce's recommendations, you will not be sorry. Thank you Bruce and Jill!

Best value for money
The Palms is a great option to stay in Palm Cove. Beautiful tropical garden with pool so close to the beach. The owners are amazingly kind and helpful. We came back after our stay on Fitzroy Island and would definitely return again

Best place to stay in Cairns
If you're fortunate enough to get a room here, just do it. Won't regret it. We stayed at Cairns, Port Douglas and here. This was our favourite hands down. Even if you have to drive to Cairns for reef.

We had a great stay at the palms! We had a group of 5 friends coming up to cairns for the weekend for two of our groups birthdays, and they could not be more accomodating. They helped us out with everything, from matches so we could light the candles of their birthday cake, to letting us borrow their scales to weigh our bags! Just the kindest owners, great location right on the esplanade and a very good location to roll home after too much food and cocktails at chill cafe. Very affordable, could not recomend this place more.

We had an enjoyable stay here for 3 nights as a family of 4. Bruce was very friendly and accommodating. Beds were very comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool. Would recommend.

GREAT LOCATION.. GREAT PRICE...DEFINITELY BE BACK
We chose this property because of the value for money as we were attending an event so would not be in the room much at all. Whilst the property is aged and the decor not modern I cannot fault the cleanliness of the 2 br apartment we had. It was spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. It definitely has all you need for more than a 1 night stay. It is located close to the main esplanade and the owners were extremely friendly. Our apartment was at the front facing Vievers st so it was noisy in the morning with traffic noise and people walking past but I would definitely stay here again if I was attending an event with friends and wanted something that was great value and clean. I would also stay here solo as well.

The hosts treat the customers as they them self’s would like to be treated. Very friendly shared knowledge of the area what to see do and where to eat. They even invited my family and I to a barbecue. Very nice experience.

My teenage kids and I stayed here during our 5 day trip to Cairns/Palm Cove and would definitely come back. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, tons of restaurants etc. Palm Cove is beautiful, we loved the area. It is about a 30 minute drive to the main Reef Marina so if you are planning to do a lot of diving it might be best to have a rental car or stay closer to the city. Some tours do offer hotel pickup. Bruce was one of the best hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting! He had a sausage sizzle for all the guests one night and really went out of his way to make our stay the most enjoyable. Customer Service was absolutely 5 star.

Before we even checked in, we felt welcomed. The owners of the facility are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Kid friendly place. The rooms are perfectly set out, the pool, surrounding bbq area and rest areas are beautiful and peaceful. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is going to stay one night, a few nights or a week. Absolutely fantastic.

Nice and clean family run business. Staff are very helpful. Amenities are first rate. Location is within easy walking distance of the beach, cafes, restaurants and Licensed hotels and other venues. Larger shopping centers with Coles, Woolworths, Target, Bunnings, Kmart and Dan Murphys are within close driving distance. There are regular bus services from the beach to major cities, Cairns and Port Douglas. Only drawback is the beach has potential problems with Jellyfish and crocodiles. There is a small netted area for bathing near the beach. This is a common problem along this whole coast line..

Last minute rescue
We had booked into other accommodation and been confirmed when we arrived they said they had no room for us. It was late at night and tourist season so I was panicking Fortunately the very hospitable hosts at the Palms made us feel very welcome and met us outside to guide the way and again in the morning to bid us Farewell

Saturday night BBQ is an awesome experience. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Great for families, old style property, hosts and charm. Could not think of a better place to stay.

Bruce and Jill were the most amazing people! They made our stay feel like we were right at home- and brought all the tenants together for a "sausage sizzle" so we could all get to know each other. If I am ever able to get back to the land "Down Under"- I will be counting on staying at the Palms once again!

Great location, welcoming hosts.
Looking for a single night accommodation to attend a function in Palm Cove and found this place. Brought our three teenage sons and had a lovely overnight stay. The management staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable.Great budget hotel for a family close to the beach. Will definitely come back and stay longer next time.
