Unique house with king bed and air-con, 3 minutes walk from the beach

Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house 150meters from Playa Negra, Cahuita. Casa Verde boasts a lush garden and a relaxing hammock area.

Ground floor has one bedroom with double bed, bathroom, kitchen area and living room. Each area has its own ceiling fan, and is designed to take advantage of the ocean breeze.
An open wooden staircase leads upstairs to the king bedded master bedroom and en-suite.

Casa Verde is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Pets are not accepted

Casa Verde has excellent internet service and secure off street parking.

Casa Verde is walking distance to Playa Negra, Cahuita National Park and the village of Cahuita. Here you have a choice of restaurants and bars. There are also several yoga studios offering classes in beautiful, natural surroundings.

Private transport can be arrangement from San Jose Airport to Casa Verde.

Cahuita offers a very laid back way of life with Reggae music coming from the bars and restaurants and a real It has the amazing combination of wildlife, relaxation and good food.

A very peaceful private place with a jungle feel

My husband and I stayed a week at Casa Verde. The cabin is very eclectic/rustic, but had everything we needed. Annie the owner was extremely easy to get in contact with and is very helpful with any questions we had.If you want a laid back get away close to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, we can recommend 100%! Thanks Annie!

The house is very clean and comfortable. Perfect for our needs. Most everything is within walking distance and enjoyed the local flavors of food.

Wonderful!

It was all we expected and more! Beautiful area to stay in. Just a short walk to the beach and many restaurants. Downtown is just a few blocks away, plenty of shops, stores and restaurants there to choose from. Annie was very helpful with anything we needed and was a wonderful host! If you are wanting to embrace the Costa Rican life, Cahuita is a must!

Cahuita Casa Verde

I would highly recommend this location. Annie was a super host and answered all our questions including setting up any tours. The place was clean and well kept. Super close to the beach 2 mins away. Howler monkeys and sloth right in the back yard. I would visit again.

Wonderful

Casa Verde was lovely and Annie was an amazing host. The house was cute and had what we needed, and the grounds were amazing. We saw Monkeys, Sloths, and Toucans almost daily. The property is convenient to restaurants and the downtown of Cahuita is an easy 7 minute walk. Such a wonderful trip, we hope to be back!

Amazing relaxing getaway

Annie met us when we arrived and was so friendly and helpful. The place was exactly how it was digitally presented and was clean, had plenty of beautiful room and even a perfectly working air conditioned bedroom upstairs. The town was quaint and everyone we encountered was friendly. We were there on off season which left it so wonderfully quiet and devoid of any type of touristy feel. Would highly recommend Casa Verde and plan on coming back at some point!

Cahuita getaway

We stayed a couple of nights @ casa verde before venturing further south to meet up with the remainder of our group. We loved the atmosphere, tranquility, close proximity to beach and town. Most of all we enjoyed Annie’s hospitality and expertise in what to enjoy nearby. My husband and I were thrilled to enjoy Annie’s place and the surroundings. We definitely enjoyed getting to know Annie and definitely plan on making Costa Rica one of our vacation destinations!

Nice location, helpful owner, but house with minimal comfort and not very well supplied. Appliances are old, no air conditionning, limited supplies. Overall a pleasant stay but rustic.

Delightful, relaxing get-away

Spent two weeks at Casa Verde. House with all we needed for cooking, very comfortable bed in main bedroom, comfortable seats outside on the porch on which we spent hours, wi-fi, all we needed for an enjoyable stay. The casa a short three-minute walk to the beach, so great for ocean time. Annie attentive, responsive, knowledgeable if we had questions, and shared information on local events. We. hope to return.

very relaxing vacation

First the hot Anne is wonderful. Any problems we had were quickly resolved. She also was very helpful with tours and taxis. She went beyond expectations. The house is very nice. Upstairs bedroom with AC was very nice for sleeping. The grounds are lush and the patio was a convenient place for breakfast and afternoon snacks. Location is very convenient close to beach and some nice restaurants. We would stay again if we are in the Cahuita area. Highly recommend the Casa Verde.

Not enough words

There is so much to say about this wonderful experience . Imagine arriving to your host waiting outside of a beautiful wooden gate lush greens all around The VRBO description does not even do this place justice . super beautiful, comfortable , a screaming monkey family can be heard from the trees, and yes we named them and took photos of not only them but toucans as well, a 2 minute walk to restaurants, watching the ocean as you enjoy a meal , cross the road and a beautiful dark sand beach, with water so warm , it's like taking a bath. . The hostess is one of the warmest persons you will ever meet. We loved it and will definitely return to see Annie and Cahuita!

Casa Verde is immaculate! Very cozy and romantic.

Casa Verde is the best location in Cahuita for everything you plan on doing - beach is 3 minute walk, surfing lessons are 300 meters north, and then the Reggae Bar and Chao's Restaurant is another 500 meters north of that! If you go south on the beach road, you can walk 5 minutes to be downtown for more restaurants and shopping. Cahuita National Park is just a little further on main street through Cahuita. Absolutely beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful if you are not too familiar with Spanish. Do not worry. They will help you. Annie is very responsive and helpful. Do not hesitate to contact her for anything. We loved our stay at Casa Verde and we are sure you will too!

A true treasure in Cahuita

From the immediate initial contact to instructions beforehand, to several messages during our stay with info on local activities - yoga classes, nightly entertainment, farmer’s market & more. … Annie was the super host! Casa Verde was exactly what we were looking for..quiet & beauty. The home was clean & welcoming. The spacious master bedroom had A/C & a comfortable king bed facing a small balcony overlooking a garden area. We love to cook & this kitchen came well equipped - from a coffee maker, cheese graters, assortment of pots and pans and even a blender. (If you like fresh fresh, there is a great fish market in Puerto Viejo). There are several small grocery stores, bakeries, butcher shop & a Sunday morning farmer’s market in Cahuita . There was no shortage of fabulous places to eat with true Caribbean flavours…pasta, sushi, chicken, fish and some of the best pizza. The outdoor space under a covered patio was our favourite spot to enjoy an early morning coffee while listening to the howler monkeys, and the variety of birds & their songs. We seen toucans, Mealy parrots, hummingbirds, Social Flycatchers, & even one very large iguana..all from our courtyard. Casa Verde is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach where a sunrise can be enjoyed and if lucky enough, find a beautiful sand dollar. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend Casa Verde to anyone wanting a good base while exploring beautiful Cahuita and surrounding areas.

Relaxing Stay

My husband and I stayed 5 days at Casa Verde. We had a very relaxing time there. The town is very small and everything is in walking distance. However, if you get a lot at the bigger grocery store, you might want to ask for them to deliver it for you. The beach is very close by. We bought two beach chairs to use while we were there and left them for others to use since there weren’t any. A few things to know: First, this house is very basic, just the essentials, no extras. Next, the only AC is in the upstairs bedroom and it can get quite hot in the house. There is a nice outside covered area in front, but know that the neighbors are very close by and you will be able to hear them outside. You will also be visited by sweet kitties out there and might see hummingbirds, howler monkeys, toucans, and agouti. Bring along activities you can do in the evening if you’re not into the nightlife. The downstairs bedroom can get hot and the bed is quite hard. Also, no toilet paper can be flushed at the house or anywhere in town. Just want people to be aware of that. Annie was great! We only needed to contact her twice for things and she was very prompt getting back to us and solving our issues. Overall, we had a great trip and really saw a lot of wonderful animals, ate delicious food, and met delightful people!

Amazing stay

Anne’s “Casa Verde” was a perfect home base for an amazing few days on the Caribbean. Close to town, right next to a beach, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful scenery. We saw monkeys daily from the casa. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We stayed at Casa Verde for 6 nights. The property is amazing. A close walk to all of Cahuita’s many attractions. The house is exceptionally clean, quiet and relaxing. Annie is a wonderful host. She was extremely responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!

Excellent Retreat to Beach Solitude

Hammocks, the sound of waves, just a couple minutes (literally) from the beach by foot. What more could you want? The host was exceptionally helpful and really made our trip a breeze with recommendations and assistance. Off season was great. Nice weather, no crowds, and everyone was happy to have us around.
