Summary:
Sunset Heights 500 in Flamingo is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, top-floor condo with panoramic views of Potrero Bay. A 75-foot wrap-around terrace with elegant wooden outdoor furniture looks out on sweeping vistas that are highly unusual — and spectacular.

The Space:
The living room features plush furniture, a heavy wooden coffee table and cable TV. There is ocean-themed and floral artwork throughout this 1,700-sq.-ft. space. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a gorgeous wooden headboard and matching night stand, plus a second TV. The other bedroom has two queen beds, allowing the unit to comfortably sleep six. The fully equipped kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, including a French-style refrigerator, with granite counters and a breakfast bar that seats four. There’s around a round glass dining table. This top-floor unit is reachable by elevator. It has a washer-dryer and a safe, and there are two large swimming pools and a 24-hour fitness center.

Sunset Heights 500 in Flamingo is a short walk from multiple conveniences, including a great grocery store, a hardware store, two banks, several restaurants, a medical clinic and a law office. The beach of Playa Potrero is also within walking distance, and the beach of Playa Flamingo is not far away. Flamingo is home to the brand-new Marina Flamingo, a state-of-the-art marina in the process of opening in 2022 and 2023. It will have several restaurants, shops and a medical clinic. Flamingo is centrally located along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast, where there are a string of golden beaches a short drive away.

We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. The Neighborhood:
Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.
Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.
A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz.
Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.
Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.

Getting Around:
Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.

We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.

Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour. Our information brochure will provide you with useful information on local transportation options and points of interest, as well as contact information for taxis and shuttles.

Excellent location

Excellent property location and the Special Places of Costa Rica response team was outstanding!!While there are black out curtains, there is still quite a bit of morning light in the bedrooms. There is no view of the sunset, but such an easy walk to the beach to view.

Beautiful Remodeled Condo - We LOVE Costa Rica!

This was beautifully remodeled. 5th floor view of the New Marina. I wished the listing would of stated which direction the view was...more North West. As the Sunset it was out of site (West) Great up & coming New Area! In the coments prior it said it was quite the walk...I didnt Believe how steep the incline of the hill was. Needless to say we ate wonderful food from The SurfBox & Hazels & walked enough to burn the calories! LOL! One issue we had was the horrific wind gusts for almost 3 days -So Windy we could NOT be on the Balcony & So Windy it would blow the patio doors open & blew the drapes & whistled for 3days! Enjoyed the walk to Playa Flamingo Beach every day. Bed was comfortable & bathrooms spacious. We did receive an email the day before leaving, instruction said to take out the garbage but didnt state where the maintenance building was. Does the area recycle? Over All Enjoyed the time in Playa Flamingo!
