The newest luxury vacation home on the Nantahala River. The pictures do not do this home justice, it’s even better in person… WE PROMISE! Showcasing large decks, whitewater river views, more than enough living space and easy local access to top it off! This home is located within a gated community in the Nantahala Gorge off Highway 74/19 on the north side of the Nantahala National Forest. Ev charging available The home features 4 king bedrooms and a bunk room. With a master on main and master upstairs along with private bathrooms with walk-in showers and large vanities. Luxury mattresses, bamboo bedding and smart televisions will have you wanting to stay in bed. The spacious family room and chef’s kitchen offer a cozy place to gather around the fireplace or dinner table together. Enjoy the mountain air on the back deck while watching rafters and kayakers float by. The terrace level offers various games such as pool and shuffleboard along with a living area complete with couches and large smart television. There are also two sets of sliding glass doors to view the river and walk right out onto the back deck just steps away from the river. Here you can enjoy a hot tub or fire pit both looking out to the river. Listening to the river while enjoying the decks and back yard is our favorite part of this home. It is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. During the busy season you can sit outside and watch the kayakers, rafters, and paddle boarders daily. Trout fisherman? Enjoy all the trout fishing you can dream of right in the back yard! This is a fisherman’s paradise. More details inside home - Living area: The spacious open living space has a large sectional as well as chairs surrounding a large fireplace with a mounted 85” Smart TV. Also featuring a wonderful wet bar with an ice maker, pull out drawer refrigerators, and a sink. Kitchen & Dining: The Living space flows into the open dining and kitchen area with an island to seat 4 and a large dining table to seat 8 more. The Kitchen itself has a 48” monogram range and oven, monogram smart microwave with oven feature, monogram pull out drawer refrigerators for extra storage on long stays, dishwasher, and a larger refrigerator and freezer to accommodate larger groups. Nespresso and Drips coffee maker, crockpots, air fryers, and other appliances just to make sure you have everything you could need for a long stay. The Retreat offers 5 Bedrooms. Each bed has a memory foam mattress with luxury bamboo bedding, gel pillows, and down alternative comforters. Two of the bedrooms are masters with private bathrooms. Each have large walk-in showers and stand alone bathtubs. The two master bedrooms also have 55’ smart tvs. Other two king rooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The 5th bedroom is a bunk room on the terrace level which makes for a great kids room. Bryn is an incredible host and she made every aspect of our stay special. The decor is stunning and comfortable. From the soft sheets, comfy beds, gorgeous finishes and fully stocked kitchen, no detail has been missed. Bryn has excellent communication skills and made us feel right at home. The house is sparkling clean. We enjoyed listening to the river each morning over a cup of coffee on the gorgeous deck and then ending the day relaxing in the hot tub. As to the property, the organization of the space naturally created occasions to gather with our group. One of our two favorites were the second floor balcony lounge area / outdoor dining space. The other was the fire pit next to the river. The outdoor dining table with views of the mountain and river provided creative inspiration for a range of art projects. As for experience, a whole series of elements from big (e.g., gourmet kitchen - appliances to cutlery) and small (e.g., choice of firewood and its smoke profile) made this a truly special time. My father had recently passed away from a 3 year battle with cancer, and my wife is a recent cancer survivor. We needed a place to find ourselves again and to reset our lives. This was the perfect place! The home is absolutely high end beautiful, comfortable,relaxing with a lot of great activities.The home is in a small quiet private gated community. The river flows around the back of the home. During the day the rafters and kayakers pass by waving and having a great time. I suggest taking the trip down the river there are multiple outfitters close by and it's a real blast. In the evening while BBQ on the huge upper deck of the home. We watched a red tail hawk catch a trout right out of the river. It was amazing to see up close. There are several small towns close by to go exploring.I have been to a lot of places in my travels. I can sincerely tell you the people of North Carolina are just so nice and welcoming. We meet some really great people and some new friends during our trip. The homeowner was so wonderful and helpful with guiding us through all the actives that the area has to offer. This was one of the best trips of our lives. The home, The property, The surrounding areas, have everything you need for a great and truly memorable vacation. 5 stars \*\*\*\*\* all the way!
