For guests with standard cars, we provide 1 parking space at the base of the driveway which is .25 miles from the cabin. The gravel driveway is well maintained, but it does have a few curves and steeper sections that can be tricky for standard vehicles. If you're driving a 2WD, turning off Traction Control can help with grip on the incline. We want your arrival to be smooth and stress-free, so please plan accordingly. Guests are responsible for ensuring their vehicle can access the property and for any significant road damage caused by lack of traction. There were only two of us but we would definitely come back with our whole family. If you don't feel like leaving the property there is plenty of room to pitch horseshoes, Cornhole or board games. Grocery and restaurants were nearby, within a 10 minute drive. But the views and the property made you feel like you were miles away from anyone. We didn't have any issues with the access to the property. We did have an AWD. The owners were very responsive and the home was very clean. We spent sometime in Asheville and Gatlinburg as this location made for good day trips.
