Also, when we found out that the hot tub was not working our grandson decided he would be okay with just taking a bath but the tub didn’t have a functioning plug. Bummer. The bedding was clean. We were happy with the location. Also very happy that we had a kitchen to make breakfast and dinner in the evening. Upon arrival the door was unlocked and the lock box was open with NO keys, and the window by the front door was open (we closed it and discovered it did not lock at all). The onsite office was locked and apparently closes at 4 and are only open a few days a week. I was told by Vacasa that I would receive a call from local management to assist me with getting a key... never got a call back. This went on until 5pm the next day. I made probably 10+ phone calls to local management and the 800 Vacasa number. Terrible communication between everyone. I spent our entire trip on the phone just trying to get the keys so I could leave and spend the day at the beach with my family. We were not going to leave all of our belongings in the rental unlocked all day. My husband ended up taking our kids to the beach while I sat on the phone and waited around for someone to change the locks because they couldnt find the keys. There were 2 black widows above the bed in the bedroom. While sleeping on the pullout couch in the living room I was woken up by scratching in the walls that honestly sounded like rodents crawling around. The stove and oven did not work. Multiple lights didn't work. Half of the dishes we tried to use were dirty. Only good thing was the hot tub. We were told to go under house to turn on, so we did so we could flush the toilets. But then there was a major leak. Maintenance did come only after multiple calls to VRBO. The house needs to be taken off market until maintenance is done. Drive way over grown. Parking for only 1 car. The deck is filthy and has soft spots all over where wood is rotten. The front door code lock is worn out and difficult to get key in and out. It was obvious that the house was not cleaned as there was cob webs and dirt on floor. The pull out couch was soiled like a mechanic sat on it with dirty clothing. When we pulled it out it had mouse droppings in it. The bathroom door only has one door hanger and does not slide in and out. The outlet in bathroom is not operable. The toilet seat is not fixed on toilet so it slides. The master bedroom has spider webs and spiders which we cleaned off. The hot tub was half full and filthy. This place has potential to be nice. But obvious it has not been maintained at all. We did not stay the whole scheduled time due to the above and not fit for being on the market. We deserve a full refund however are told that the local management needs to follow up with us. When I did speak with management it was sadly not helpful. We were told it can take 3-5 business days or more. We did send multiple pictures to VRBO. Below are a few of the pictures.
