Apartment was musty and smelled damp, everything must have been shut for a while. We stayed in winter so it was quite cold and the unit itself is blocked from the northern sun so doesn't warm up. There was a good breeze coming off the passage so it might not get too hot in summer. We didn't use the pool but it would be nice in summer. We rode our bikes from here all over the island: surf side, north to banksia beach, and all along the passage walking path. It really is a perfect location for accessing all parts of the island no matter how you travel. The unit itself is lacking some comforts like air-conditioning, and comes across as quite old-fashioned but if you're planning on getting out and about then it doesn't matter. With the water so close you can cool down without air-conditioning. Definitely a nice place to stay. ##### Brendan G.
