Stayed in a 2brm big enough for extended stay. Bedrooms on the smaller side. Pool and bbq on roof are amazing. We got to see the fireworks for NYE. Walkable down to town. The apartment was lovely, modern, tidy and had amazing views. The rooftop pool was one of a kind and definitely worth experiencing on its own. Definitely Instagram worthy. The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. The bedside tables and TV unit were covered in dust and looked like they hadn’t been wiped for a month. Kitchen cabinets has grease and drip marks. And the carpets looked covered in all sorts of fluff, crumbs. Even a hairball in the middle of the living room. I requested for a vacuum from reception and they said housekeeping should be up. No one came for over2 hours. So my husband went down to reception again. Being in the CBD on a week d there was a lot of noise from outside, the windows are not double glazed and there is a fire station nearby, so lots of sirens all day and night. The kitchen is very poorly stocked, not even a cutting board and no champagne glasses or red wine glasses. The pillows were uncomfortable. My colleagues staying in nearby apartments reported that neither of their front doors would lock, despite repeated attempts to turn the lock - their doors simply opened upon being pushed - so they felt quite unsafe, especially as the weekend was a big sporting event in the city - LOADS of people around. Awkward parking conditions meant we had to exit the underground car park, park the car illegally, run into the foyer to deposit the keys in the box before then leaving the complex. Surely this could be rethought.
