We try to get all 5 siblings together each year in the Fall and there was plenty of space for everyone. I fell most in love with the fireplace which was just perfect. It was well stocked and had plenty of comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The view is amazing and the porch was the best hang out place for us. I love that it has only one TV as it made for great game nights with the family. It felt very peaceful there yet close enough to town for shopping . The falls are beautiful and the fishing was great, not to mention the tubbing . Checking in and out was a breeze and the management quickly answered any questions I had . Jul 13, 2024 #### Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Views at Merrywoode We recently stayed at Merrywoode with a group of 17, including kids and a dog, for a family vacation, and it was absolutely perfect. The views from the cabin are simply breathtaking. Despite there being no AC, the crosswinds kept us cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed to cook for our large group. I even brought my own huge pot, but it turns out they already had one just like it! The daybed and hammock on the porch, overlooking the amazing view, were definite highlights. We spent countless hours relaxing there. The location is fantastic, with plenty of hiking and beautiful sights to explore nearby. Merrywoode provided the perfect setting for a memorable family vacation, and we can’t wait to come back.
