They have a mandatory non-refundable damage deposit or an alternative VERY large refundable damage deposit that was not listed in the fees on VRBO, but only mentioned in their rental contract which is not obvious when booking the property. This surprised us and feels like being forced to choose between 2 unreasonable options. Communication with the management company was overcomplicated, I was required to download a separate app and create an account to access the check in information. It was just kind of a pain compared to properties I’ve stayed at in the past. The management company is also not available outside of business hours (evening and weekends) if there is a problem.
