The stunning architectural lines of the home will draw you in and have you loving every aspect, from the vaulted ceiling of the "happy room" off the kitchen and dining area, to the stone façade, and the three levels of living, there is something for everyone. With views from most rooms in the home, the 1.8 acres of property, lots of room to recreate outside as well as by the water, and the large party deck off the back of the home. Watercraft not included in rental. Location and views absolutely beautiful. However, rest of the process was rough. Host very kindly allowed us early check in, however, security system went off when we entered and cops showed up questioning us on why we were in the house. Hosts were not picking up phones (got a hold of 30 min later). Smelly trash was left in the kitchen (from lasts guests??). And then we couldnt find the outdoor trash can and ended up having to unbury the trash can from 3 ft of snow and bring it up the VERY long, steep driveway. Loved our stay here, the house is even better than the pictures! The location is truly incredible, easy to get to town (walking distance if you’re up for a little walk!) and also close to the water with beautiful water views from the main bedroom and front porch. Only quirk is that the upstairs bathroom that serves two bedrooms (bunk room that sleeps 4 and a queen bedroom) has just a bathtub but no shower, so we all had to use the shower in the master bedroom or down in the basement. Not a deal breaker by any means, but we couldn’t tell that was the set up from the posting. It’s minutes from downtown Boyne City, and not far from other amazing destinations (Charlevoix, Petosky, Mackinac, etc). The amenities were great, and the house was clean and welcoming!
