Both apartments are fully air-conditioned and include free Wi-Fi Internet, TVs with Firestick streaming, well appointed kitchens and washer/dryers. This cottage is very centrally located at the top of the hill in Governors Harbour, and is part of the distinguished Governors Harbour Collection group of properties, on Eleuthera. The downstairs apartment at Peach House consists of an open-plan living and dining area, with French doors opening to a private patio equipped with sun loungers and a small outdoor table and chairs. The master bedroom features a king bed and has an en-suite bathroom, with walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped, and appliances include a glass-topped electric range and oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and blender. The apartment has access to an adjoining laundry room with a washer and dryer. A propane BBQ is shared between the upstairs and ground floor apartment. The apartment includes beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler bag for beach days. For parents travelling with infants and young toddlers, the property managers can arrange for a traveler crib/pack n\` play and high chair for your convenience. For occasions when 3 persons are travelling, a single rollaway bed will be added to the living room space. This is ideal for small families with one child or teenager. Peach House can be rented along with other homes on the estate to accommodate larger groups. We hope to welcome you soon! The town of Governors Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897\. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, is a weekly street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street until late! A stroll downhill from the estate in the other direction leads to French Leave Beach, one of the finest beaches on the island and one of the great beaches of the Caribbean. By foot, it’s about 8 minutes to French Leave, a mile-long crescent of pink sand which is literally deserted most of the time. The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. It was perfect for the two of us. A relaxing, quiet, and spacious place. Although we did not cook, the kitchen was great for making coffee, and storing fruit and leftovers in the refrigerator. The place was clean and decorated nicely. Storage was ample as well. Never ran out of hot water and the pressure was good. Not sure if the power ever went out because there was a back up generator. (This happens on the island). The AC worked extremely well. We could turn it off during the day while we were out exploring, then come back, turn it on and cool quickly. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and cooler were provided. Easy to transport since the chairs were the backpack type. Location was great! We were able to walk to breakfast at Bacchus Fine Foods and Squires Cafe. (They serve lunch too). Plus we could walk to Buccaneer Club to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner with ice cream next door. We also enjoyed walking down to the harbor to watch the sunsets. By car, you could quickly reach some other eateries in 5-15 minutes, The Fig Tree at Potlatch Club, Tippy's, La Bougainvillia, and The New Sunset Inn. Plus there was a very good grocery store in town. French Leave Beach was a quick 5 minutes drive. There were other beautiful beaches close by as well. Being central to the island allowed for exploring north or south very easily. Communication was excellent with the property managers. We spent a week at the Peach House and would definitely return. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. Kathy got us a beach umbrella when one was missing. The property has a generator so we still had electricity and A/C when the island was out of power during a storm. We loved the Beach Book that let us explore the island and all of the suggestions for dinner and places to get food and supplies, We couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Peach House. ##### Christine T. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second visit to the beautiful island of Eleuthera, our first stay at the Peach House downstairs apartment. The internet pictures of the property were exactly what we found - an adorable, comfortable, clean and well-equipped first floor apartment with a wonderful owner/host close by. We loved seeing the beautiful tropical flowers and plants right out the door and took advantage of the fresh tomatoes in the garden out back. It was a delight to find a delicious lasagna meal and beverages waiting for us when we arrived, and a thank you to Kathy, our hostess, for helping us secure a rental car. While town and the beach are within walking distance, the steepness of the hill proved a little too much for these 70 year old visitors -- so reserve your rental car in advance, if you can. If interested in using a guide to fish, make those arrangements in advance also(they were booked on days we could fish). All in all, this was the ultimate relaxing vacation, not a single thing we'd change about it. ##### Sue G. We couldn't have made a better choice. To start, the Peach House was a perfect spot to call home. Located in Governor's Harbour, you got to feel like you were a bit in a community there, and being centralized it is an easy drive to all the sights. The accommodations are excellent, bright/airy/clean and very welcoming. Kathy welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a home made lasagna, perfect for a first meal after travel. Apr 17, 2017 #### Relaxing in paradise This was our second stay at Governor's Harbour and in one of The Coleman's properties. From our arrival to the day we left everything was perfect. The house is so inviting with the numerous french doors to open and let in the beautiful breeze, lasagna and wine waiting on the counter, and of course Cathy welcoming us back!! I am almost tempted to keep this to myself. I already feel a little possessive of this beautiful retreat. It is honestly the only vacation I take where I can completely relax! Kathy was so welcoming and accommodating! The apartment was clean, cute and very well appointed. She even made us lasagna for our first night's stay, and was very helpful with places we should explore and which beaches to seek out. We can't wait to go back! ##### Cat C.
