The ultimate off-grid GLAMPING experience! This historic Little Red Cabin was once a school house in the early 1900s, how cool is that? The interior decor highlights the old school and was curated to provide you with comfortable amenities while staying true to the camping experience. This is an off-grid cabin with NO running water but has electricity. We are located only 28 min. from Lake George, 20 min. from Gore Mountain, Revolution Rail, & trails. \*\*BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE READ THE “OTHER THINGS TO NOTE” SECTION AT THE BOTTOM It has details you NEED TO \*\*2ND A-FRAME CABIN ON PROPERTY AVAILABLE TO BOOK TOGETHER FOR A CHEAPER RATE- SLEEPS 2 (LITTLE BLACK A-FRAME)\*\* please inquire! We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay at an off-grid cabin. This 420 sq ft. cabin sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. The driveway can fit up to 2 cars. The little cabin has a beautiful brook running through the property all year-round. This is where you will get your water source from, along with the rain barrels. Perfect to sit on the deck sipping your coffee or glass of wine while hearing the sound of the water and trees. The location is breathtaking and great to disconnect from the outside world. To add on to your romantic experience, at night you can walk over the little mini bridge over to the fire pit surrounded by the ambient lighting and just unwind. There is also a hidden waterfall only 5 minutes away! There is also a ceiling fan and extra portable fan for your convenience. Is there hot water? You may use the water from the brook or rain barrel with the bucket provided. We provide a portable electric shower head and immersion water heater. NOTE: we do provide a shower tent that easily pops up for privacy. Is there a bathroom? There is a HEATED outhouse so you don’t have to freeze in the winter season. In there you will find a BRAND NEW INCINERATOR TOILET (odor free and completely sanitary). Instructions are in outhouse. You can clean your hands with the hand sanitizer or water from rain barrel. \*\*\*1) USE BOWL LINER 2) THEN FLUSH PEDAL 3) THEN PRESS INCINERATOR BUTTON AFTER EVERY SINGLE USE\*\*\* Is there electricity? Yes! We provide 200amp electricity. Don't worry you will have lots of light, charge your phone, watch tv or even cook inside. We provide 2 rechargeable lanterns for night trips to the outhouse or hiking. Is there firewood? We don’t provide log wood for the fire pit, but if you want to bring an axe you can use all the tree bark that’s stacked up. If you don’t want to chop logs, then you can buy some packs from the nearest market. 1 Dog is allowed during your stay for an additional $50 fee (with approval). Must add pet fee in booking inquiry. They MUST BE TRAINED and HOUSE BROKEN. We ask that dogs DO NOT get on the beds or couch out of respect for other people's allergies. Bring a dog blanket/ bed for your pet to stay off the carpet/rugs. Dog must be on a leash at all times. However, upon arriving, we couldn’t find the place because the GPS only took us halfway up the road. Also the outhouse mechanism was faulty, and we had to use a hammer. Otherwise, the cabin is adorable and the host is very kind and responsive. Cooking, washing and showering just took longer. I wasn't in a rush. My only complaint is the incinerator toilet. I think my bladder is just too large, so caution there. Otherwise, it worked well. However, the lack of a shower and running water was a major downside. If these amenities were available, this would be a perfect little cabin. Literally 2 cars drove by the entire weekend. If you want a place to go and be alone without any distractions this is definitely the place! The brook outback that runs just beyond the deck makes this such an amazingly beautiful place. Check in was a breeze. The outdoor shower was definitely a cool experience once we got it set up. Absolutely ADORED my long weekend at the little red cabin. Located on a dirt road with a few neighboring houses in the woods, this is the best get away I’ve ever had. Host was very accommodating to my pets (deposit was required which is fully understandable). Self check in with a smart lock, when entering the cabin the vibe is spot on. Twinkly lights for setting the mood, beautifully decorated with just the right amount of amenities needed for a get away in this decade. Host offers Wi-Fi, as well as a smart tv. The outside of the cabin is so peaceful with the Brook flowing through the property, 2 fire pits, twinkly lights wrapped around the area for the pits. She was communicative with me for any issue I had, checking in and out was a breeze. The neighbors were friendly during my stay. There’s many trails nearby (I only took advantage of one). I will definitely be returning!
