The home is conveniently close to the commuter rail to Boston. Walk 15 minutes to vibrant downtown Salem to explore shops, art galleries, museums, a variety of dining options, and of course all the haunted happenings. This is a rare opportunity to access an entire home complete with fenced in yard and off street parking all in the heart of Salem! This antique home is full of charming original details like decorative fireplaces and exposed beams while incorporating many updates. This rare spacious home offers over 2000 sq feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms - plenty of room for the whole family! Enjoy the comforts and conveniences the home has to offer including: • High speed WiFi • Smart TV • Plenty of rare Salem off street parking (up to 4 spots!) • Primary bedroom with new king size bed • Washer and dryer • Keurig with complimentary coffee • Window AC units in each room • Fully stocked kitchen with conveniences like dishwasher, icemaker, etc. • Exterior Camera present Other things to note • We have recently added a bed to the 3rd bedroom to increase occupancy to 8\. The home still has many of the original character and furnishings which the owners are renovating over time. The Robert Manning House, where Nathaniel Hawthorne was raised by his uncle, is a slice of history and it was a privilege (and a thrill for this ex-New Englander) to be able to stay there. Communication with the property manager was fast and easy. We had no problems at all. It was a seamless stay in an incredibly fascinating home. Salem itself, as I knew from growing up near there, is an endlessly interesting town with a lot of emphasis on the days of the Puritans and the witch trials. September and especially October are peak tourist months (because of Hallowe'en, and, you know, witches) so Old Town Salem was crowded and we didn't spend much time there. We were there for a family wedding, not for sightseeing. But the house is close to nearly everything you would want to see, and tourist sites are easily reached by car or by walking.
