(912 reviews) We had a nice room but it was in a separate block quite some way from the main hotel, just as well it was not raining whilst we stayed there. It was a bit confusing to find at first you have to drive round to block to get to the carpark and then our keys didn't work.The room (self catering) was well appointed but we could not use the balcony due to the weather and even in the summer the outlook was not great - a car park a road and a school. The main hotel was ok but the public areas are quite modest and the bar is effectively in a corridor so not a great place to sit and relax. Also the main restaurant is small and we had to sit outside for breakfast the second day. We did eat there in the evening and the meals and service was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful throughput. (475 reviews) Georgia welcomed us so nicely. We had traveled long and far it was so nice to have a human actually be there to welcome us (Francesca, too) as opposed to emailing a password no to enter the facility and here is your room number; essentially on our own in a foreign country. That made a huge difference to us. We highly recommend this hotel. (148 reviews) Our stay at Don Ferrante was absolutely magical. The hotel is perched on the cliffs of Monopoli’s old town, with stunning views over the Adriatic and a beautifully restored historic charm throughout. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, and the location couldn’t be better for exploring the town on foot. The suite we had was amazing – spacious, stylish and full of character. The bathroom was a real highlight, with beautiful finishes and a luxurious feel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave in the mornings. The staff were warm, professional and attentive, making us feel truly looked after from the moment we arrived. Everything about our stay felt special, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
