The Dome House is perfectly secluded on two acres of dense woodlands, at the end of a gravel road that leads to the banks of the Back River. Launch your kayak from the communal dock a quarter-mile down the road, take a morning stroll through the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens one mile north, and play an afternoon round of golf at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club three miles east. If guests are visiting in the winter, the annual Gardens Aglow event shows the Peninsula in a festive new light. Sometimes it is water, sometimes it's mud flats until the water returns. No boats are allowed. Swimming and kayaking are at the guests' own risk only. Kayak rentals are in town Boothbay Harbor a short drive away at Tidal Transit Kayak rentals. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program.
