The apartment is on the first floor of a residential building without elevator and has a large balcony overlooking the canal. The entrance opens onto the living area consisting of an open-plan kitchen equipped with all amenities including a dishwasher, an oven and a kettle, and a dining table. The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, two of which have a queen-size bed, and one with a single bed and a pull-out bed. The last one also benefits from an ensuite bathroom with shower. \*The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parking and enjoying the old town on foot. \*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy. Bologna, known as the "Dotta" because it is the seat of the oldest university in the West, the "Grassa" for its excellent food and wine and the "Rossa" color that characterizes the historic center, is a wonderful city of art, culture, and commerce. Its soul lies in its medieval historical center, which is among the largest in Europe and full of taverns, shops, and theatres, characterized by almost 40 km of arcades. In the historical center is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of the medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are Giambologna's Neptune Fountain and the Medieval Towers, the Asinelli, and the Garisenda, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in the numerous museums, galleries, and religious buildings. It is impossible to leave Bologna without tasting its food and wine products, including mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla Bolognese accompanied by the well-known DOC wines of the Colli Bolognesi! Rich in exhibitions, fairs, and cultural events, Bologna is a city that can surprise all year round. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. Location is between the city center and the train station, which is good for taking day trips to other cities. There was a little problem with the main bathroom shower drain and the WiFi was not very good. I would add some mirrors in the bedrooms. Walking distance to so much! An easy 15-minute walk from the Bologna Centrale train station. Great restaurants, including Ristorante Oberdan da Mario!The place was extremely clean and check-in was a breeze with the property manager meeting us at the property to walk us through the amenities and how things work. Only downside was that the internet was not working due to an arrand wet mop that was set on the router. The manager made it clear that although he would try to get a replacement, it would be up to the owner to authorize it.
