"No water in the toilet l ask for fixing the problem several hours after I came back and nobody did nothing. I paid the hotel with my credit card through Expedia, when I arrived to checking they asked me to pay in cash, they didn’t accept credit card."

"Expedia is not updated for check in process. It is not Ganesh Hotel, it is village lodge. Regardless, we were redirected to the right place in village lodge and had the most amazing attentiveness and service by the owner, Caro, and our hostess, Luisa. Very beautiful beach loft in the middle of the jungle and 50 feet away from the most gorgeous secluded beach. Recommending this place to anyone who travels to Samaná. Not for people with disabilities or children."

"This gorgeous resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Our week was luxurious, peaceful, and beautiful. All of the staff were so kind and attentive. We were assigned our own trip ambassador whom we saw in person multiple times but also was very responsive through a WhatsApp group she set up. Rafaela helped us schedule restaurant reservations and fitness classes, arrange transportation, and most helpfully of all was there when I needed a doctor and didn’t know what to do. I was so grateful to be able to visit the doctor they have onsite 24/7 and even walked out with the prescription I needed in hand. I have so many examples of ways the staff went above and beyond I wish I had space to name them all. The grounds were immaculately landscaped, the interiors were styled to perfection, and the pool and beach were so picturesque. I was constantly marveling at how much more beautiful it was in person than even the photos could show. Our villa was visited by housekeeping twice daily and kept looking flawless. They even swept our patio and skimmed the plunge pool. I should also note they brought in an entire extra bed without my asking so all three of my children could have their own bed. The food exceeded my expectations. The kids were thrilled with 24/7 room service. The restaurants were all wonderful fine dining experiences. Everything was plated like works of art. The breakfast buffet was the most elaborate I have ever experienced. Thank you, Cayo Levantado Resort! "

"Honest review. This review is based on my own experience and in what I like. Hotel is very organized and clean everywhere, the staff is well trained and super kind with guests. Easy parking. Is not overcrowded. Looks like the perfect hotel. Only bad things are, little or no entertainment, only one restaurant open during lunch and breakfast with not a lot of options. Desserts are awful, no ice cream anywhere, oh and the all inclusive drink is just a weird probably housemade alcohol, if you want name brand (even cheap ones) you have to either purchase a vip pass but this drinks are only available in ONE bar all the other ones don’t have these drinks which then is a little useless and inconvenient for the customer. Another option would be to buy the bottle which is like 2x the price of outside. All in all I have been to various all inclusive and I would recommend going somewhere else if you have the money to pay for this one you’ll have enough to pay for another one with better experience, entertainment and availability of food and deserts."

"The hotel is clean and the staff are great, but the pictures posted of the location must be from several years ago. The pool and hot tub are run down and there was only one lounge chair (old but still working) and a few plastic lawn chairs and tables around the pool. The hot tub was full of sand and was not working and the pool had a garden hose running into it each day to top the water up. Its only about a kilometer to the beach and there are several great restaurants nearby. I think the site's pictures should be updated, but otherwise, it is in a good location and is clean."

"The property is excellent! It was awesome to have big waves crashing on one side and then gentle waves (at a nearly private beach!) just steps from the gate. We saw whales on numerous days which was fantastic. There is a kayak on the property that we used to paddle around with sea turtles. Our family of 6 was very comfortable in all the bedrooms/bathrooms. The pool was great and we packed rafts to float around. Dulce made us an incredible lunch and we wish we would have had her prepare one more meal before we had to leave. We visited Las Terrenas and Rincon and would recommend both! Most dinners were enjoyed in Las Galeras which has a great beach area. 3 of our family members love to snorkel, and I was disappointed we didn’t find masks to rent while we were in the DR. There were some in downtown Las Terrenas but we didn’t make the trek while enjoying the coast. We often do more excursions while on vacation but didn’t really feel the need to leave the villa too much. I think a binder with local restaurants, contacts, excursions, tips for the villa would be helpful to guests. "
