INSIDE This luxurious lakehouse is elevated by high-end fixtures and furnishings and continues with custom grand modern floating staircase and wide plank floors throughout. The home’s entrance is a great spot to watch the birds and sip your coffee in the cozy sunroom. Designed for discerning home cooks, the chef's kitchen’s top of the line appliances, quartz counters, and commercial grade gas range will not disappoint. Gather around the island while you cook and flow easily to the open concept dining room to dine together at the custom-made live edge dining table seating 8\. Accentuated ambiance with the cast gas fireplace. An impressive custom made wood/steel floating staircase greets you in the great room, and floor to ceiling windows capture sunsets and fill the home with natural light. Play one of the many games provided (like the beautiful crokinole table) or cuddle up to a movie on the Smart TV with your loved ones. Tell stories and swap secrets under the soaring 30ft cathedral ceiling until late at night. OUTSIDE Claim your Adirondack chair around the firepit and settle in for s'mores and ghost stories. A picnic table is available for quick lunches, and the tiki bar is a real crowd pleaser! Grill up some steaks at the propane BBQ grill, and enjoy the magical feeling of being surrounded by trees. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all. Enjoy the water with the watercraft provided: 2 kayaks - 2 lifejackets are provided but you will want to bring lifejackets for children Hop on the pair of adult-sized bikes to explore the surrounding area. The spacious interior offered plenty of room for our group to spread out. The large kitchen/dining area offered modern appliances for the meals that we prepared on site. It’s located in a quiet cul de sac, providing lots of privacy. The owner manual provided all the information that we needed to safely stay in the house and the prompt response from the owner ensured that the couple of non urgent questions that we did have were answered quickly. The house was beautiful with lots of room for us all to spread out. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen (and the S’mores kit!) where we cooked a lot of meals and the kids enjoyed running around in the large yard. The beach was just a couple of minutes away. We had thought the beach access was a gentle slope down, but it was a bit steeper than it looks in the picture; however, there are also two staircases in the neighbourhood which made it easier. We brought our two young kids, and they loved running around the yard, and being able to access the beach across the street. We also enjoyed this little bit of separation from the water, from a safety perspective it worked very well for us. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, the layout was good, with the kid bedroom further from the TV and sitting area.
