In this small community, you can enjoy some peace and quiet. If it is adventure you seek, you can drive to downtown Blue Ridge, the Aska Adventure Area, or Lake Blue Ridge in just 5 minutes. There aren't many cabins in the area with this kind of seclusion and views that are also only a few minutes from the downtown area. You won't be disappointed. When you first step inside the cabin, your breath will be taken away by the beauty! The custom design is one of a kind. Everyone will love the modern, open layout of the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is a chef's dream, with all the amenities and beautiful custom wood cabinetry. Sky Loft offers a number of comfortable places to sit and take in the breathtaking scenery and views, which includes the living room with a beautiful fireplace and a large screen TV. On the main floor, you'll find two stunning bedrooms, both of which feature King beds, TVs, and access to the deck. The master bedroom has a beautiful walk-in shower, soaking tub, and gorgeous tile work. This floor's second bedroom is connected to a walk-through bathroom that is every bit as luxurious as the master suites. We can't guarantee it, but the adorable laundry room with its washer and dryer might make you look forward to doing laundry. As you head out to the main level deck, take a seat in front of the wood-burning fireplace. There is also a small dining table and seating area where you can sit and relax while taking in the incredible mountain views. The deck also includes a barbecue grill for your use. Take the stairs from the upper deck to the MASSIVE lower, screened-in entertainment deck. \*\*NOTE THAT THE ONLY ACCESS TO THE LOWER LEVEL IS FROM THE UPPER LEVEL DECK.\*\* The stairs to the lower level run along the outside of the cabin. The downstairs deck is designed for relaxation and entertainment. Enjoy a fire at the wood burning fireplace while resting in an egg chair, take a nap in the bed swing, sip a beverage at the bar area, eat a meal at the enormous custom farm table, or take a soak in the hot tub! There is also a full bathroom on this floor. You'll also find the custom bunkroom, which features 4 Queen beds (2 sets of bunks) on this floor. Since there is no way to get to this floor from the inside of the cabin main floor, it is recommended that any children staying here sleep on the main floor. We want everyone to feel comfortable with their sleeping arrangements! The Sky Loft is the perfect mountain getaway! Excellent customer service is something we take great pride in. Prior to check-in and check-out, we give very thorough instructions so that visitors may just unwind and take it easy while on vacation. We are excellent at providing prompt responses to questions and concerns. The process of checking in is very simple. A door code will be sent to you the day before check-in. There's no need to meet someone to get keys! There is a $125 nonrefundable fee per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs. There is a 50lb weight limit. Pets are not allowed in the hot tub! No Cats Allowed. Please clean up after your pets. There are 2 exterior cameras. They are located at the front porch (viewing the driveway) and upper-level deck (looking towards the driveway and exterior stairs). None view private areas. There are 3 exterior black cameras that are no longer in use. These are from the previous owners. Please understand that we do everything we can to ensure there are no mechanical issues with any amenities during your stay. We can't control when equipment/things malfunction or break, If the fireplace, hot tub, washer, dryer, etc. malfunctions or breaks during your stay, notify us immediately and we will handle the issue as quickly as possible. Our stay at the Modern Cabin was wonderful from the time we checked in to the time we left. Brock was an amazing host who was communicative, friendly, and welcoming. The views from both the upstairs porch and downstairs porch were breathtaking, and were plenty spacious for our family. The home was clean and stocked with everything we needed! The dual primary suite layout was ideal for our group of 3 adults and would be for two couples. The third bedroom is a bunkroom; most suitable for older children / teenagers. Multiple times during our stay, we said that the cabin was so nice we would have been happy to spend all of our time there--enjoying views and socializing on one of the decks. The cabin is conveniently located to Lake Blue Ridge, where we rented a pontoon boat. We also hiked to a couple of waterfalls in the area. Cabin was well kept and had nice amenities. There were a few minor issues during our stay that were quickly addressed by the manager. Lastly the cleanliness left a little to be desired in a few spots. Otherwise a great place for our honeymoon. ##### Samuel W. The property was well maintained with a few luxury amenities to enjoy. Although cold and cloudy, the view from every room was the Smoky mountains, so waking up to another one of God's creations was great! We did have some minor issues, but Brock was quick to respond. The view is gorgeous, as is the style of the home inside and out. The beds are very comfortable. The home was clean and had everything that we needed. It was peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to relax. The outdoor fireplace was perfect for morning coffee and the hot tub was so relaxing in the evenings. You are facing southeast, so you don’t get the afternoon sun on the back porch which makes it enjoyable all day long. Short drive into town (10 minutes). Cabin is well decorated and the mountain view is beautiful. Unfortunately, the mouse poop covering the dishes and cookware left us feeling icky. We had a very short stay...2 nights so we managed without needing more than a few coffee mugs. If we had plans for a week long stay with casual dinners prepared in the cabin, we would have had to sanitize every single dish, pot, pan, and utensils. Not much of a vacation in that case. We reached out to the property owner to let him know what we found. We even sent pics of the animal droppings in several cabinets and the microwave area. We told him that overall the facilities are great, but we felt that we should be refunded the $200 cleaning fee. The cabin wasn't clean...just picked up. He told us that he was sorry for the experience but mice are just part of being in the mountains. While that might be true, a contract with a quality pest control company and adequate attention to detail when cleaning would make all the details. The owner asked for pictures, which we sent, and we never heard another word. The owner doesn't seem to care about guest satisfaction. We gave him the opportunity to make this right prior to leaving this review. We never would have mentioned this otherwise, but the gas fireplace in the living room didn't work, the railings on the deck were damaged and in need of repair for safety issues, the couches & pillows were covered in spots and stains. This house had a an awesome "rustic modern" vibe to it. The porch is amazing! Such a nice space to hang out! We had dinner and played games there all evening. It was our favorite place that we have stayed at in the recent years since we started traveling more. The space was very clean and cozy.
