This spacious one-bedroom suite with a queen size bed is perfect for couples or solo adventurers. Located just steps from the Downtown Historic District, you can easily walk to famous shops, restaurants, and breweries. Enjoy a fully-equipped space with fast Wi-Fi and a cozy atmosphere. Please note, this is an upper-level unit requiring stair access. Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. There are some steps up to the front porch. From there you will find the entry where there is a stairway leading up from the front porch bringing you to Unit 4\. This 704 sq ft apartment is the largest in the building. It features a bedroom and living area with hardwood floors, with lots of space to relax and unwind. The queen size bed will sleep up to 2 guests. We do not have a sleeper sofa, and due to fire regulations we cannot allow cots or air mattresses on the floor. The well stocked kitchen, which includes a drip coffee maker, is adjacent to the the living area down a couple of steps, giving it high ceilings and a good feeling of separation from the rest of the space. Through a doorway you will find the bathroom and laundry room. There is also a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions. This home is over 100 years old and sits among large, old trees. Unfortunately due to this setting, insects will often make their way into the home. We welcome pets, and if you bring one please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times. This is a non smoking, non vaping property. No smoking or vaping allowed inside or outside. Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge service. Staying with us will require some “self sufficiency”. You can self check in any time after 4pm and self check out any time before 10am on your day of departure. We are available during reasonable hours to address any questions or concerns, but please note that we are not a corporation and do not have 24 hour staff. This is a very old house with gas furnaces for heat and window units for air conditioning. You may hear your neighbors. But we do ask that all guests be respectful of one another. Our address is visible for you to map prior to your booking so you can verify the location. 33 Vance Avenue, Black Mountain, NC. Unfortunately we cannot offer luggage storage. This was the perfect location for my work commute, offering all the essentials of home! The walk-in closet was an added bonus, as well as having a washer and dryer conveniently within the suite! The location is quiet, and yet just blocks away from downtown Black Mountain restaurants and shopping for anyone wanting to explore the local area further. If it had been warmer weather, I would've also enjoyed the porch seating and swing! Maybe next time! Rebekah was quick to reply to messages, and very gracious!
