![The Horizontal Falls in The Kimberley region of Western Australia are a natural phenomena. They’re created by two narrow openings between two escarpments. The tides in this region are some of the biggest in the world and can reach a difference of up to 12 metres.

As the tides change from low to high (and vice versa) they are sending an immense amount of water from one bay to another. The build up of that water forms a drop of up to four metres, hence creating a horizontal waterfall. ![The Horizontal Falls in The Kimberley region of Western Australia are a natural phenomena. They’re created by two narrow openings between two escarpments. The tides in this region are some of the biggest in the world and can reach a difference of up to 12 metres.

As the tides change from low to high (and vice versa) they are sending an immense amount of water from one bay to another. The build up of that water forms a drop of up to four metres, hence creating a horizontal waterfall. This is Broome from the air, taken on a scenic helicopter flight with KAS Helicopters.
