It is immaculate and well stocked with plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. It is located right on Duck Bay which made it so peaceful. While it is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and some of the major Acadia attractions, it is well worth it! Not to mention the amazing restaurant the owners run in one of the nearby harbors. Would absolutely stay here again.For those looking to explore Acadia National Park and sourrounding areas, this side of the island was more relaxed, more authentic, cooler in temp, and more laid back. It’s new, bright and warm. The owner is friendly. The place is spotless and well-decorated . It has very good lighting. The kitchen has no oven but there’s BBQ burner outdoor so we made a delicious firewood pizza. The kitchen and bathroom have everything we need. The waterfront view is amazing. The tidal water is shallow. It’s great for swimming kayaks and bird watching. We didn’t use the outside fireplace. The place has a very romantic setting. The seal harbor picnic area about 4mile away is a great place to watch sunset. We caught quite a few fish at dock.
