The walk down the beach was quick and easy. We played in the backyard and drove into town. It takes about 45-60 minutes to get to Grand Rapids and 30 minutes up to Holland to see the tulips. This was our first year staying on the North side of the beach and we loved it! It was close proximity to the water but also secluded and private. Plenty of space for a family of 6 and very clean and well kept. Large yard for the kids to play and we loved seeing all the deer, wild turkeys and bunnies throughout the day! We loved the warm welcome with a little chalk sign! The beach-themed décor made us feel that vacation vibe right away. Our little ones absolutely loved seeing the wildlife that visited the yard each day: deer, turkeys, and even a ground hog. The beds were comfortable and the couches gave us a great hangout to watch TV together. The location is excellent, being just a quick drive to downtown, but being away so that it could also be quiet. The walk to Newcomb Beach is easy and doable for the 4 year old. It was obvious that the hosts genuinely care about their guests having a wonderful experience! Great location near the lake, about a 5 minute walk to public access. Easy check in with great communication from owner. House was very clean and modern on the inside.
