The Space: This 2-story townhome is as ideal for a couples retreat as it is a family vacation, surrounded by attractions and amenities that only the Oregon wilderness can offer. You’ll be within less than ½ mile to the Old Mill District, putting you within walking distance of shopping and dining along the scenic Deschutes River. Over the river, the Hayden Hills Amphitheater serves up live music and events set against the amazing views of the Cascade Range. The river itself is a destination for fun and adventure, with river tubing, kayaking, and paddleboarding all exciting options. Pay a visit to the Historical Museum in downtown Bend, afterward staying to enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the local breweries and taprooms. For the outdoor enthusiasts among you, there are plenty of trailheads nearby for scenic hikes in and out of the Deschutes National Forest, or you can visit the extinct Pilot Butte volcano, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the area. The Lava River Cave and Newberry National Volcanic Monument allow you to get close to active volcanic areas, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We liked that we could walk to see Elvis Costello at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater and all the breweries and restaurants we wanted! We had our breakfasts on the upstairs outdoor deck, which was very nice to have right off the living room/kitchen area. It truly is walkable to Old Mill through a path at the end of the neighborhood, which we used to stroll over and wander around the Old Mill area. We cooked multiple meals and we had all the kitchen items we needed. We would definitely come back! ##### Kara B. Lots of space for 2 families, and a good sized, well equipped kitchen. Close to everything fun including the Old Mill District, Hayden Homes Amphitheater, & Downtown.
