"The property was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfect for a relaxing vacation. It is a swimmers paradise! Laurie and Jay were ideal hosts who were always ready to offer help and suggestions. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We appreciate their thoughtfulness and generous hospitality. This property is conveniently located 7 miles from Belfair where you can purchase everything you need. The ferry to Seattle is 20 minutes away. It was a great vacation!"

"We had a wonderful stay and didn't want to leave! The house is beautiful, spotless and the view was beyond words! The deck is a great place to enjoy the view, sunshine and relax. We picked up some wood (2 bundles) is the perfect amount for an evening around the campfire. The location is close to Poulsbo, Port Orchard, Purdy...good places to eat and shop. All communication with Elise was positive and accommodating. We will return!"

"The host was very helpful. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you need right down to life vests, boats, buckets, shovels, firewood and goulashes. SO much character and history! We loved it! Our bed was super comfortable. The only thing we struggled with were electrical outlets in places to accommodate both AC and 2 cpap in a bedroom. Some of the extension cords didn’t work. We loved this cabin. We will be back!"

"Rare to find an updated house in hood canal. They did a nice job. And if you know Hood Canal south side, most houses are close to the road so no surprise. Nice outdoor area for summer use."

"We had not stayed on the North shore of the canal before so did not know what to expect. The house was perfect for our family of 4. No bank waterfront was very cool. We had a fire on the beach every night and roasted oysters picked right off the beach. The one car in the parking lot is no joke. The Neighbor will let you know immediately if you have two cars down, even if you are just unloading. After the initial incident, he was very pleasant though. There is plenty of parking in the driveway...

"This is a gorgeous home, big enough to contain all 13 of us (ages 3-75) comfortably, and yet it’s really cozy. The toys are epic - kayaks & SUPs, ping pong, musical instruments, foosball, chess, stuffed animals, work out room & hot tub - we used almost everything! The kitchen is fully equipped with particularly nice cookware & tableware. We loved every minute of our stay.💕"

"The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. We had several day trips and cancelled two of them to make more time at the house. We had fun diving for sand dollars, looking for oysters and digging for clams. The kids loved the kayaks, canoe and paddle boards. The sunset was pretty every night. We saw sea otters and seals. The house is ten minutes from groceries and gas. You want to have water shoes as it is a rocky beach, but we knew that from the pictures. We really loved Magic Hour!"

"Although a lot of things were really nice about the house, like the view and the location and the access to the lake. There was a lot that was to be desired as well. All of the appliances except for the fridge needed upgrading. The coffee maker didn’t work well. The clothes washing machine broke so we couldn’t use it for a whole trip, it was from the mid-90s.
